Game Day Thread Official Post Game Thread- Pats Destroy the Jets

THIS IS OUR LIVE GAME DAY THREAD:

This is where we gather to follow things on Game Day. Obviously, emotions tend to be high so if anyone gets a little crazy, the use of the “Mute” button is encouraged on anyone who may be annoying to you to control your experience and to allow the moderators to also enjoy the game.

At the same time, please take a deep breath before over-reacting for the sake of making this a pleasant experience for everyone.

Getting a good buzz whilst taking a stroll around the world drinking $9 beer. It got quite expensive but when you enter those tourist traps, expensive is relative.
Is it only $9 for a beer in Epcot? Hell I pay that at my local bars.

No matter who you play , putting up 50 is impressive. And that’s really not a bad defense we did it against.

Ol is the key. I think harris has run well all year and mac has done well too, but you see the difference for both of them when we are controlling the LOS. This will determine playoffs or no playoffs. Those 2 could have great years with solid ol play and really make a name for themselves.

3-4 isnt the end of the world, now its onto sd and a chance to make a statement. Just hope we find some answers for the cb depth next week. We got away with it against the jets but doubt we will against the chargers. Huge game, i cant wait.
Kinda wish we didn’t humiliate them last year

Sorry if it was already mentioned....

I'm just pleasantly surprised. I don't think we could ask for more at this point in his career. Kids got it.

It's been years since last time I was there. I think it was $9 plus $1 tip for beers. The mixed drinks were a little bit more, like $14 or something. Expensive but I've been to clubs in South Beach back when I lived in South Florida that was way more expensive.

The first time Fields played a preseason game, the writing was on the wall. Sometimes it’s just so obvious.
Watch the Big 10 championship game last year vs Northwestern ( 12/27 114 yds 2 ints ).. Trey Sermon bailed him out and he looked lost...to be kind.

hmmm... i think there is an issue with terminology here... i am splitting the two which are under the same umbrella... its the mechanics of moving money around under that umbrella thats negotiable...

heres the article

he explains it better than I can
From the article you linked.

All drafted rookies must fit under the rookie salary cap, which is a smaller figure under the overall cap. What determines a player’s cap number? The signing bonus is spread out, or amortized, over the number of contracted years. Drafted rookies sign four-year contracts. With first-round rookies, teams have the right to extend a player for a fifth year. If the signing bonus is $10 million, that means that $2.5 million is counted against the cap for each of the four years. The minimum rookie salary for the 2020 season is $610,000. All of the salary in a cap year is counted against the cap.
The cap number is what the rookie pool is made up of.
Whether the player wants to negotiate higher salary or higher bonus or different structures of the bonus is irrelevant, it’s whatever the resulting first year cap hit is that has limitations.

EDIT: Rereading what you posted I believe you used SALARY in place of CAP NUMBER and otherwise we are saying the same thing.

i think thats the case... and further on he talks about the bonus allocation based on a number of factors and contract offsets.

Look, you DO NOT draft a mommy's boy Mormon QB with the 2nd pick...EVER! What career? 7 games in and he's already yesterday's news. Saleh keeps running crap out there on D like this idiocy we saw today and HE'S gone. New regime, McMilfson gets a boot in the azz and it's rinse repeat...as usual...for FIFTY ONE YEARS NOW
The angel Moroni is going to get you.

Kid looks to me that he has lost a few pounds. Some will dismiss it as irrelevant or imagined, but I've found over the years that it's a very reliable indicator of positive future future success when an athlete does this. Some key notable Boston examples:

Brady, Larry Bird, Paul Pierce, Tim Wakefield the year he made the all star team (he later put on weight at the end of his career).

This is post-victory Mac.

I want to see more of this Mac.

The good news is it looks like he has lost a lot of that baby fat he had when he first got here. Over the summer he was bursting out of those compression shirts he wears during press conferences.

I gotta say, Mac has had two beautiful 40 yard throws on a dime to Bourne. Who would have thought he would turn out to be our deep threat

They're 3-4... and they're 1 game outside of a playoff spot with 10 games remaining, so "could have been a playoff team" seems a bit premature.
The king of optimism strikes again

Finally the OL got it together but of course the Jest were missing Mosely very mucho
With that just a few fractions of a second more, it enabled Mac to hit downfield finally

Interestingly, the one Patriot whose name I don't remember hearing called was the amazing Judon
But that might have just been those useless announcers.
Don't get me started on the announcers. When the Jets scored on the play fake end around, the announcer was like, "the defender was there to make a tackle and then something happened and he scored a TD..." I've heard smarter play breakdowns from when Madden was starting to go senile and still doing analysis.

Maybe BB can trade Stiffham or Hoyer to the Jets
