Just tuned in but like what I see with Jones. How's the D look?

That was badass

I would have gone for it on 4th down.

I guess it's hoyer time from here on out.

Looks like it. We couldn't give Mac Jones the two minute drill before the half so we gave it to him now. That would mean it's Hoyer time.

First half thoughts

D looks good as expected, but the DBs are missing Gilmore. He really puts them over the top. The run d looks improved but some hiccups. Judon is going to be huge for our team.

Offense lacks talent right now and it shows. Add in Henry and Agholor and that should help. The run game is fine. Mac looks really good for a rookie. Only led us to 3 points in a quarter but he looked good doing it. Some unlucky calls and a potentail TD the WR couldn't hall in. In unrelated news my uncle called me tonight to say he saw Bigfoot being abducted by aliens while playing catch with N'Keal Harry. I knew he was lying because there's no way Harry would catch a thing.

STs looks good. We may have one of the best units im the NFL. That kicker is the real deal. Sadly having the best special teams unit doesn't count for much. I'd love to know what the Vegas point seing is between the best and worst ST units in the NFL. Maybe a full point?
I disagree that STs aren’t worth much. Can’t imagine 2001 being a SB winner w/o them. A good D + good OL/running game + STs can often propel you quite far.

I really wish Josh would let Jones throw the ball down the field more than 5 yds

That one drive showed better awareness and capacity for a passing game than all of last year with Cam.
And "against the backups" doesn't apply here - because Mac's playing with some pretty bad OL and scrubs like Harry (still useless BTW)
The competition is over!!

Mac does execute check downs beautifully and is quick about it. Refreshing to see that again....

Is it just me or does Jones not have any zip on his throws? NFL DBs will break up or pick off some of these passes if this is as hard as he can throw.

Fast release though.

I think Mac needs another drive here. We need to get him up to speed sooner than later...
