DRAFT NFL Draft Rumors

9-6 final if memory serves! I was at that same game as a college kid with a bunch of &^%$# Broncos fans.

I think so too...It was a raw kinda day, the field was sloppy...Just a real ugly game...

That only becomes true if another team moves up or someone takes him early. Reality is we will probably never know unless the Pats jump up which would be 100% out of their comfort zone when it comes to future draft picks.
They should go up to wherever it takes to draft fields.

I agree by and large, I like how Horn wins and have him as one of my faves for our pick, but, he won’t only be guarding DK Metcalf types in the NFL. How would he cope with prime Antonio Brown for example? I realise his MO is to win at the LoS, but if he doesn’t, how will he cope with a quicker WR.

Not many corners coped with prime Brown very well, regardless of agility numbers. :)

He's played smaller, shiftier players, and he's been in position to disrupt the catch point. Does he get beat sometimes? Yes. His completion percentage and rating allowed, however, has been really good against some of the best receivers in the nation over the last few years. He's played perhaps the most variety of coverages that I've seen -- inside, outside, against X, Z, and Y positions -- in this draft. He's best in press man, but he can play everything else. No concerns.

If we’re going corner, than Horn is my guy. All the way. I have doubts Parsons makes it that far.
I wonder if Parson has been taken off the board for the Patriots (the whole Boy Scout thing); hopefully someone else takes him before the Patriots so they do not have to make a hard choice.

Horn would be excellent. I like Trevon Moehrig also and Eric Stokes.

Stokes will be in high demand because of his 40 time so if the Patriots want him, they better jump. 15 seems early for him but he runs like a deer and hits like a moose.

What the heck is “complex” about it? He takes a pay cut or they extend him. Compared to some of the wacky voidable year nonsense we just witnessed a month ago in free agency, this is pretty tame.

But why would he do that? He gets paid $27 million?? if he doesn't do that.

To be where he is wanted and has a future?
I think I prefer In this order
Field,Lance,Mond,Mills, Jones, Jimmy G, Sam Ehlinger
It makes no sense. It is stupid, he will not do it without a large contract to do that. He either gets $27 million or he gets cut, and then he can go wherever he wants and completely control his destiny. Come on guys use your heads.

They bring in a blue chipper and cut him August 31st and he gets a mediocre prove-it deal.

25 of his 27million doesn't guarantee until week 1 of the season.

What if New England is where he wants to go?
Take less this year push his money into next year

There will be no winners when Garoppolo is released in August. 49ers won’t get trade value, Jimmy won’t get his money, and he’ll be available too late to be ready to play for another team week 1.

If Patriots want him and Jimmy wants to be here Niners need to listen.
