There’s a rumor on sports radio right now that he’s going to retire from football altogether and host Jeopardy. What... the... ****.
I'm a Jeopardy diehard. Aaron was OK, middle of the pack among the guest hosts. Better than Katie Couric or Dr. Oz, but not as good as Anderson Cooper, Ken Jennings, or Mike Richards.

Many more guest hosts are scheduled. I see no way he'd get the job.

That would be epic if he left Brady's conference and joined Mahomes division. LOL

Brady is ruthless. Sending Brees to the pasture, now nudging Rodgers a step closer to trivia games over football games. Savage.

has nothing to do with Brady

This simultaneously feels like SF has absolutely no idea what they're doing and traded way up with no real plan
You're not the only one who's posited that, but I don't see where that take is coming from. SF's plan has seemed completely obvious, and planned, from the jump, to me.

Wonder if this is because AB just re-signed with the Bucs for a really low 1 year contract

Also there is no chance AR would want to come to NE. Seems he is mostly frustrated with roster and GB looking towards the future instead of focusing on AR now and maximixing the roster for him.

Pretty much GB and BB have the same playbook. AR looks to want what Brady has in TB and Bill will never do that for him here.

i'm more concerned with how rogers going to one of the marginal QB hungry teams would effect the draft vs actually seriously thinking about acquiring him

if your Belichick, do you want Fields/Lance or Rodgers?

Yeah, but it feels like they traded up and now they're not 100% sold on whoever it is they think they're going to get. If they honestly believe that, then moving out of that slot and cutting their losses makes sense rather than potentially costing themselves their jobs in a few years by making the wrong decision and giving up what they paid to get there.

I am no Aaron Rodgers defender, but GB trading up to draft a QB in the 1st round was a smack in the face - especially after never drafting a skill position player in the 1st round for him. I don't blame him for being mad about that one.

You’re kidding yourself if you don’t think he felt a little jealousy that brady in his first year with all those weapons went to the super bowl. He also felt disgusted. Just like wilson. It would help if these guys where not taking a large piece of the pie in the salary cap.

So why not the obvious? Trade Wilson for Rodgers. Wilson would have that offensive line he wants and go back to Wisconsin where he played college ball. Rodgers gets to the west coast. Now they can even swap those "untradeable contracts" too.

Kind of tongue-in-cheek here, but it seems like there's at least some obvious trade points.

I mean they felt in love with love. It was definitely a slap but if Rodgers was a team player he would try to take a little less to get one of these free agent wideouts and he didn’t. They also have to pay adams very soon.

Wilson would go to the better team. Lol

Fields/Lance, since I wouldn't have to give up 5 picks and players to get him, and then have him retire after 3 years. Way cheaper too.

Let's change the parameters a bit, here, while assuming that the rumors are truth rather than just rumors. Let's say that there are only 2 QBs for the top, and let's call them Al and Bob. Let's say that the team drafting at #1 doesn't need a QB. Let's say that the 49ers trades up to #1 in order to get Al. Now, let's say that, over the course of a month, with more research and interviews, etc... the 49ers look at Al and still like him, but find that they actually like Bob even more than Al.

Why should anyone have a problem with that?
