DRAFT NFL Draft Rumors

I'll say this: the 1st round in particular will be very interesting/entertaining.
Nobody has any idea who or what SF,Denver and/or NE will do.
So much of the usual misdirection coming from everywhere.
So many different possibilities.
Grab your popcorn.

This draft is nothing short of weird & exciting.
Really everything involving the Patriots starting with how the 2019 season ended
all the way to now has been weird.
I have no clue what BB will do.
Probably the most anticipated 1st round for Pats fans since the year Bledsoe was drafted.

What might Patriots do at pick No. 15? Projecting two years out provides hint
Linebacker: Dont'a Hightower and Ja'Whaun Bentley enter the final year of their contracts, and 2021 free-agent signee Raekwon McMillan is playing on a one-year deal. So that would leave Terez Hall and possibly 2020 draft picks Josh Uche (second round) and Anfernee Jennings (third round) as the next men up.

Best prospect fit: Ohio State's Baron Browning. He likely wouldn't be a consideration at No. 15 (that's Micah Parsons territory if the Patriots are comfortable with him), but the 6-foot-3, 241-pound Browning has the type of versatility Belichick tends to appreciate. One drawback is that he was a one-year starter.
I mention this because they just aired Patriots All Access and asked Mike Reiss to predict a non 1st rounder to be taken, and he brought up Browning again and said (and I’m paraphrasing), “I‘m hearing they’re doing a lot of sniffing around him.” Begins at 20:44 mark.

I like Fields & Lance and I'd trade up for either. I don't feel like Jones is worth it. I like him but is he really that much better than Trask? You can get Trask in the 3rd potentially.
QBs usually go. I’d be surprised if Trask is available in the 3rd. But he’s a guy I could see NE drafting.

I agree. And usually I start to lose interest later in the draft, when - often - titles are won with guys taken rounds 4+...

As someone who starting getting into sports the year Bledsoe was drafted, it’s uncharted territory for me. Bledsoe and Brady are all I’ve known as the faces of this franchise, and now that is a glaring hole. I’m eager to see who that next guy may be.

I think 3 go off the board fast, the 4th and 5th slide further than anyone is anticipating, and we don't get to guys like Mills, Mond, or Trask until the 3rd Round.

The hype is one thing, but it's either Cap'n Stone or Ochmed who's been speaking truth here: it's a TERRIBLE year to evaluate QBs. I don't think the hype (that drives clicks and drives ratings) works on GMs and Coaches the way it does on writers and fans.

I hope five go in the top 10 picks IF the Pats either get their guy or get Garoppolo (or think Cam is their guy, which I doubt), becuase the talent that will fall to them at 15 will be blue chip quality.

Holy ****

Broken clocks and all that.

I don't typically go along with their ratings (and I do use your board for mocks), but I think the QBs this year are way over the top with the hype train.
I hear ya I was just having fun

The early 90's were the worst Patriots teams in their history- pure suckitude.
Prior to 1990 the Patriots were not a laughingstock. They had some really good teams incl 1976, when they were
the best team in the nfl and got screwed
out of a SB.
Those early 90's were dark days- the Patriots were in danger of being shipped to St.Louis of all ungodly places , the team sucked and so did the stadium.
Getting Bledsoe with the #1 pick, Kraft buying the team and hiring Parcells all turned everything around.
