We are on to Kansas City...

"As currently constructed" are the three key words. It's my opinion we see a repeat of last night if the offense does nothing. Defense will get tired. And well...I've said what I've said.
You can only hope.

Ok so you have given up on this team and give them no chance.
I’ll wait for the games to be played.
That's what this board does.

I guess the only good news is KC is still one game back if they win. And the defense was built to beat this offense. But it won't matter if the offense keeps this up. I mean the Texans defense isn't good. Yet the Pats didn't take advantage. Chiefs defense is slightly better than them.
Texans have been allowing 22ppg. We scored 22.

Going to be a tough one for sure, but that was never in doubt. KC doesn't look nearly as dominant as they did last year, but they played a chunk without Mahomes, and Hill has been out a bit too I think? This was always one of the games we circled as a good test and that hasn't changed.

Playing at home is huge all around. Outside of Belichick, our most experienced minds (coaches plus Brady) are on the offensive side of the ball. Until the clock strikes 0:00 on our last playoff game, I'll always feel like they can work something out. Maybe it's simplifying the offense to fit the guys we have, rather than getting frustrated that they can't thrive in the offense we'd ideally like to run? Maybe it's just a matter of getting the same group of players out there for more than one week in a row? Who knows, but if there's a solution out there, I trust this group to find it.

Y’all so lame man any time we lose there’s no hope right

We are going to struggle in this game.

For sure. Honestly, I don't think we win this game. Remember last year's game at Gilette? Wasn't it like one of those record setting games for most points scored and we had to put up like 50 to win?

KC still has that offensive power, we don't. I just thought this team would be much better last night. I do think they will be better at home but not sure if they have enough to match KC cause they are going to score points.

A lot of people here should take Chiefs +2.5. I would think based off the tone, we would be about +10.

The positives are that the defense will be another week removed from the flu and will hopefully have JMac back. The negatives are that the offense still has zero identity this late into the season and nobody can consistently beat the press other than Edelman. Their defense sucks, but so has this offense of late.

Oh, I think they have an identity. They are a pretty poor offense.

Ironically, if we look bad again next week, after the Kansas City game we'll be . . . Onto Cincinnati :D

Brady called his WRs robotic and that they need more explosiveness. They need a player's only meeting and to have a real heart to heart. TB12 Julez and JW need to step up and really stress how important it is to play sharp. They need to learn to love TB's perfectionist nature instead of them allowing it to wear them down. I think they can still turn it around.

Nice comments by Brady but the defacto benching of Harry and his words in the sideline clip about Dorsett missing/misreading the hand signal show a disconnect between the PR statements and the reality on the field.

You expect a press conference to have a detailed explanation of all internal conversations, issues and areas being worked on?

I dont expect anything. I am just pointing out how useless those interviews and statements are.

Wanna bet you said they would be one and don’t last year?
I’ll take that bet. I felt confident vs SD. Now I did think the Pats would lose in KC, and once they won, was pretty confident they would beat the Rams in SB 53. Thought nobody would beat the Chiefs last year.

Just as useless as lip reading his discussions, over analyzing his moods or reading body language

You lose
Just a pathetic performance. Defense is putrid. Pittsburgh will hang 50+ on them next week. Offense gets 2 field goals all 2nd half, putrid. How many times inside the 10 yard line and nothing but field goals, or nothing at all. And who was shocked to lose by 1 by missing an extra point.

The win vs KC seems like a mirage now. That was the high point of the season. I expect a blow out loss vs Pittsburgh, THAT offense against THIS defense. Pitt is gonna kill us. The team showed their true selves in this game. Just not a championship caliber team. Belichick, the king of the 2nd half adjustments, got out coached in the 2nd half.

I expect a 1 and done in the playoffs. Poor drafting has killed the continuity chances for this franchise as a championship caliber franchise . Terrible defense, so slow and inept, no Gronk or Brady replacements in sight. Last 5 years worth of multitudes of draft picks wasted by not actually using the picks, and instead trading for future picks, that will eventually be used for trades for future picks. Seems like a viscous cycle that never ends. As good players that the Pats could’ve used, wind up on other teams. Just extremely frustrating, as you can literally see it cause the end of the dynasty.

All negativity aside, it has been amazing to watch this almost 20 year run, just sad to see opportunities missed, as we know Brady’s days are numbered.[/B]
