I get the impression that because you watched a ton of terrible football you think you're God and the man and that us patriot fans post 94 aren't real fans. (etc.)
No, because I watched a ton of terrible football, I know terrible football when I see it.
You don't know a good team when you see it.
Is this team a prohibitive lock to win it all? No. But are they good enough to win it all? Yes.
As far as being God, that's blasphemy, and because I recently had a health scare, I won't claim I'm God anymore. Common sense.
As far as being The Man, only by comparison, and I thank you for that.
As far as new fans not being "real fans," real is as real does.
You might be right and that one game where we lost on the last-second playground miracle play might herald the End of Times. The moon might now turn blood-red, dogs might lie down with cats, and Brady might throw more picks than touchdowns from this day forward.
The future is unwritten. Even perpetual doormats have those amazing runs beginning with an unimpressive regular season record. Quite a few fans would be Tebowing and pointing to the sky if their team made the playoffs at all or recorded double digit wins. For Christ's sake grow a pair.
I'll add that this team uncharacteristically is truly beefing up its pressure capabilities. For everybody who thinks this is typical of a BB defense, it's not. For all you guys who think, hmmmmm the threat is a rookie QB, wonder if that has anything to do with building a more pressure-oriented defense? Hmmmmmm. Yeah maybe.
Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?
This season isn't over if we play KC in Arrowhead. This season isn't over because we lose to Miami in the last seconds. This season is over as soon as enough actual players start thinking like some of the sad sacks here who say they're fans. Fortunately mental toughness is a strength of the Pats in the BB era.
