Peter King: Pats should trade for Le’veon Bell

Yikes Burger King:rolleyes: now copying Stephen Ass Smith who first echoed the notion??

Peter King is such a dolt. Most mainstream, shallow writer out there besides Ian O'Connor. How is he being paid to constantly write such garbage? Just tweeted that Josh Gordon "isn't worthy" of the Patriots, but Le'Veon Bell is such a stand up guy, not to mention the difference in their contracts and their positional needs, and the fact the Patriots and Steelers would never actually make a trade like that.

Now this will get picked up by another dumb pundit who says "there's buzz" that the Patriots are interested in trading for Bell. Then someone will cite "numerous reports" that the Patriots and Bell have been linked. That's the 24-hour news cycle for you.

In the immortal words of Nancy Kerrigan....

WHYYYYY???

Spend a ton of money on a RB, that preposterous and clearly something the Pats (who just used a first rd pick on one) clearly don't need. Know if he could play LB or CB, then maybe.

Bell has overplayed his hand here, he should just shut up and report and make his $$. It is clear now, that the Steelers aren't going to pay him the money he wants.

Where's that laughing gif that @Deus Irae put up from "Inglorious Bastards" or the one @KontradictioN put up from "Good Fellas?" Those gifs were hilarious.

dion lewis was so much cheaper...

Let’s dump the rest of our cap space for a guy who will be out of his prime in two years. Great idea Petey boy.

If Green Bay wants any chance of competing anytime soon, they should trade for him. Their running game has been pathetic for years. It's so bad, they use a WR (Ty Montgomery) at RB.

Regardless, Pittsburgh needs to just trade him and end this nonsense.

Did I hear right? This guy was set to make 850K per game and he's not happy with his contract? Yeah right, NE is a perfect fit for him.

So we drafted a Rb in the first round, we have one of the best receiving RBs in the nfl, we have about 6 mill in cap space and we should trade for a guy who won’t show up for 12(?) mill and has stated he thinks he should be paid rb money plus wr money?
This could be the dumbest thing I have heard in a while from anyone who doesn’t call them self a patriot fan.

I had a long post listing the reason why this wont happen but i lost it, so the TLDR

We don't have the cap space to fit him, if we did, we don't have the draft capital to make the trade happen, and if we did the steelers wouldn't send him to possible the #1 team blocking them from making the superbowl.

I’d give a 3rd for him for the rest of the season as a rental. Nothing more than that though.

Either way it’s a moot point, because there’s no way Pittsburgh is trading him to us.

Under $2.7 million in cap space now, according to Miguel. Lost roughly a million yesterday when they added Simon and Barner to the payroll without releasing anybody.
