2018 Training Camp Thread - Day 7 (8/2/18)

I was nervous until they traded for Trent Brown. Funny how the media and people on here were in denial thinking Wynn was going to be at LT over him. I tried telling you guys how good he was but it went right over most people’s heads.

While Solder is making the big bucks in NY, Brown will not only be an upgrade at LT, but the best LT since Bruce Armstrong.

Hoping you're right.

What would be the best Patriot approach to get him signed to a multi-year deal?

Could Brown a former 7th round pick be enticed early in the season with a 4 and 40 offer before other teams whisper in his agent's ear?

Lucky for him, we haven't heard much from Hill throughout camp (at least not enough to make him a solid lock). So Gillislie still has plenty of time to establish himself if we end up going with 4 RB's.

Hill was getting lots of 1sts reps even when Michel was healthy (running, receiving, goal line) . nothing constituting a roster spot at this point of course but certainly ahead for #4 (if they go 4 . w ST Bolden in the mix there + Develin)

Really? I must have missed those reports (or had a blind spot for some reason). Good to know.

Brown will be a stopgap and gone in a year. Wynn will take over at LT at the latest next year. Not sure how anyone is in denial about anything here.

Everything is going exactly along the most probable scenario.

I don't think we'll have anything like a clear picture on the RBs until after the second pre-season game.

Happy for Dorsett if he can realize his potential. He looked good last year whem given a chance and didn't dog a single route even thought he knew most were only decoys.

But it is still a long road until the regular season.

Lol i have a hard time believing you knew his name before he put on a Pats uni but sure he's the best LT we've ever had.

You weren't some lone wolf crying out in the wilderness.

Patriots trade for 49er's OT Trent Brown

Just gloating a litlle on my sense they might keep him and move on from Cooks at last year's trade time while i can (WRs dropping like flies and he was down today as well)
