OT: Shady McCoy allegedly beat his gf

The post FCB was replying to isn't relevant in regards to which poster first politicized the thread. You were wrong, Captain was right.

If your point is seriously that I was wrong to use the phrase "the first ones to" when I said that "people who want to keep sports out of politics are also the first ones to bring their political message to something" ...

Deus come on. Sure, he wasn't literally the first person to say something about the anthem in the thread. But if I replaced "the first ones" with "are also very quick to" it's the same point. "The first ones" is a figure of speech. You are way smarter than that and are clearly arguing on an incredibly pedantic point, and I can't take that as anything else besides trolling and wasting my time (mission accomplished by the way...)

I've dealt with people's attempts to blame others for their own accidental injuries, just as I've dealt with people's attempts to deliberately mar or hurt themselves and blame others for it. So you feel free to tell me what you think I look like for not accepting your position, and I'll feel free to laugh at you because I know better than to immediately rule out the stated alternate proposition when things look a bit odd.

Yeah whatever. I'm sure you have all sorts of examples you can point to. The police report was already out when the guy said it could have been an accident, and even it if wasn't it was highly unlikely given every other variable in this story.

If I make a mistake in a post, I'm going to edit it if I haven't seen a response to it first. If I see a response to it, I'll generally note the edit, if it's relevant.

You didn't make a mistake, you reorganized the logic of the post. You should still add ETA or something to note that, or just take 10 seconds to find your mistake before you hit reply. We waste enough time on here to think it's not a problem to reply to someone who changes their post after the fact.

ETA
In this case, my edit took place a full 6 minutes before your reply was clocked in, so that's that.

Hey man 6 minutes isn't that long and it's way too late to be typing this **** out, don't hold it against me

Guilty or not guilty. You people should wait to hear the FACTS before you judge anybody smdh.

McCoy not the sharpest tool in the shed...he demands specific items of jewelry back, then the attacker also demands the same items?

edit..and if you paid someone to do this, wouldn't you at least call to check on her to make it at least seem like you had nothing to do with it?

I don’t understand this logic. Based upon the facts available you judge a situation. If more facts come out you may adjust your judgment.
His is it wrong for me to think that McCoy looks very guilty AT THIS POINT and if so is a scumbag, recognizing there could be facts I do not know.
I am not executing him in the electric chair based upon a partial story, I am stating my opinion based upon what is now known.
Otherwise no one can have an opinion about anything until a trial occurs.
Does that mean I can’t think josh brown, Terrell Suggs, Ray Lewis, Ray rice, Greg hardy etc aren’t scumbags because I havent interviewed the people involved and made sure I have every fact and detail beyond any reasonable doubt?

So Roger will give him what?

$1000.00 fine and no suspension?

Not going back & forth with you dude. Simple. If he happens to be guilty, crucify him. If not, people need to learn not to RUSH to judgement based on social media & other people’s opinions without proper context. Many people cannot & do not think for themselves.

Like it or not we as men judge every situation. When the new facts come up we evaluate and change our judgements very often. It is normal. The question is if we share our judgements publicly or not.I guess everyone has his point of view of that Shaddy's case based upon the facts we know to that moment.

If McCoy was involved, there will be no sympathy and no mercy for him, nor should there be. My pet theory is that he sent a guy to retrieve his jewelry from the house and the woman woke up and started resisting, and that guy assaulted her. That would make McCoy responsible for what actually happened, even if the assault wasn’t part of the plan.

Two games.

only if he agrees not to appeal and writes an apology along the lines of "I'm sorry if the person i hired to beat you half to death made you feel bad, that was never my intention, This doesn't represent my character, this doesn't represent me."

My theory is he'll get 6 games after not turning over his cellphone.

We're not agreeing because you're provably wrong and won't just either offer up a mea culpa or let it go and move on.

In 8 years here I have never once seen you admit you're wrong about anything.

It's incredibly bad timing for the NFL brand as training camps open this weekend as they try to maintain an even strain while the anthem controversy drags on.

Think of the poor NFL PR staff coasting thru 4 months of a uneventful off-season and then the NFL dumps all the suspensions news just before the July 4th holiday and then Browner and McCoy fires erupt and it will be all hands on deck for the next couple of weeks.

I also feel bad for the Bills fans who get slapped with this story now, their good vibes about a first round QB developing along side an ALL-PRO RB went down the toilet because a guy who makes 8 million has to have his gifted jewels back.

Maybe Shady's agent can claim he was trying to reclaim his grandmothers gold watch to aid the PR battle.

Delicia isn't even close to one of the stupidest names parents come up with. Haven't heard of the name before but it isn't particularly strange.

My wife's Mary Kay rep has that name.

There is a legitimate way that McCoy could be relatively clean in this situation. His issues with this woman (hopefully she makes a full recovery) were ongoing and well documented. Over the course of it, McCoy could have talked about it with some shady acquaintances. One of these hypothetical guys, knowing how much money/jewelry was at his house, with only a single woman staying there, made the attempted robbery without McCoy's knowledge.

Not saying this is a likely scenario at this point, just a thought.

Possible, also possible he asked the guy to try to get the jewelry back and things went sideways without shady's knowledge. It looks like he was on the verge of her getting legally evicted so why do this the day before. Lot of unanswered questions at this point.

No, it's being in the fray. With a case like this, where there's a shifting accusatory narrative, it's absolutely legitimate to question whether or not the accuser was up to something, even more so as the information about the police report didn't come out until after your post (if memory serves). You've been wrong with your accusation about who started politicizing this thread, as Captain has pointed out, as post 5

had already politicized the thread before post 27 existed, and yet you jumped on post 27 with

And you were wrong with regards to how you jumped on the post wondering if the woman was taking advantage of an accident, when you've been trying to argue a clean hands position.

If you want to claim to be above the fray, be above the fray.

OMG Deuce, just STFU already. Better yet: just admit you were out'f line or wrong for once in your life. I swear to ya, boys: this guy, Deuce Awry, acts like he's afraid that he's gonna burst into flames if he ever admits a mistake. It's all riiiiiiiiight, Deuce.
