Yes, objectively talking sports on a board while working is really something that should generate sympathy. The horror of it all!

Gee, can make a cute little avatar like you someday, big guy?

Talking objectively on a football forum isn't what elicits sympathy from me. Being active on here for nearly 14 hours a day and making over 1,200 posts in one calendar month does. You either don't have a job or don't have a life. I feel for you in either event. Must be lonely.

lmao

Maybe you type slow and have no life concerning yourself with mine? I work about 50 hours a week and have a great life.

You should try it, Mr. Bitter and Angry.

Who was the goober who invented "post counts" anyway?

I dunno. Belichick sustains a very efficient system of coaches and players, plugs holes as best he can, knows the amount of work it takes to truly diagnose teams, and more. I mean, we collectively wet our pants each time Belichick explains strategy, or even gives a rundown of teams and their every psoition. No other coach can just rifle every thing off the cuff like that.

Do Your Job documents how crucial he is. I don't know if one is more valuable than the other, but Belichick is very very important to this organization.

His most recent SB? Borderline insanity. I won't let it speak for the trend, though, as that has been much different. The dude is very good.

I mean. The thought that went into some of those defensive calls against the Falcons... I just have a hard time believing thats MP. That's Bill knowing every player, their tendency to pick up a blitz and their tendency to hold.

Even though benching Butler MAY have been a mistake, the loss of this last superbowl should only prove that Belichick is more important than Brady. Brady played out of his mind, but at the end of the day, defense wins Superbowls. Even the Eagles proved it, though their offense was great that day, if it wasn't for that one defensive play, they would've lost.

What Brady did sorta reminded me of what Peyton use to do against the Patriots defense: he would throw for obscene amounts of yards over and over again, yet our defense manage to win the close games. It was only until the later part of his career that the tide started turning.

Agree, which is why how many yards he did throw for is absolutely meaningless.

I asked Mosi in another thread (or maybe it was this one?), why the yardage total was so important.

Win the game! Nobody should care. I care more about 1st half sluggish starts in every single SB on offense, than I do anything else at this point.

The D failed to bail it out, and here we are again.

You see Rusty, if someone is actually as awesome as you think you are they don’t have to say it, others do that for them

For example: Me

You never see me telling people how awesome I am, that’s what Kontra and Quantum are for. In fact Kontra was just singing my praises this morning, and Quantum writes so many posts touting my awesomeness that it actually gets embarrassing at times. I wouldn’t tell him that however, he could get upset at me, and if he ever gets out of SuperMax I honestly don’t want him pissed at me.

You should take this to heart and learn from it,

Hilarious. Where am I telling people how awesome I am and who is Rusty? Are you on bath salts?

You love to post about how you pointed something out last week or have been saying all along. I'd say 50% of your posts that I've paid attention to are like that.

You also implied that you had something to do with uncovering plagarism at the Herald or something. Your posts make it clear you have a very high opinion of yourself.

Maybe he’ll provide proof of that Herald claim in another few thousand posts. That means we only have to wait a few weeks.

Well, it's because I want it know that I disagreed with BB's approach, and make it clear, that I am not making crap up. People call be a BB Ballwasher which is comical, and this proves it right here.

In fact, my assessment of how our D should line up in man, was something I posted numerous times, to show how and WHY I felt it was vital. Again, I was right. Further, IMO, I don't believe Butler on Torrey Smith vs a choice of Bademosi starting and being on Smith. So, that is why I don't get the hooplah with Butler not playing. He would not really have made a difference because the approach was wrong at its core.

I disagreed with BB's approach and I would tell the guy so if he was sitting in the same room as me. But. it's just my opinion, too. You have one and I have one. That's what these boards are for.

I don't see what the big deal is. Why is this an issue anyway?

I absolutely did send the Globe an email about Borges. It was me and probably others. I sent it and Borges was put on leave the next day, and then fired.

This was 2008. I read other teams' newspapers and comments sections for numerous reasons, so when I saw Borges piece, I said "that looks just like the piece I read the day before, but by the writer from Seattle"...So, I compared the two and was shocked.

It's like the cardinal sin of journalism. I've also gotten into on email with sportswriters, like that nozzle from Pitt, Ed Bouchette. I told him in January of 2002 and 2005 that Pitt was barking up the wrong tree, based on the junk he was writing leading up to the games. I also con

It's not about having a high opinion of anything, I am just conversing with other humans on the interwebs. Nothing more, nothing less.

Your comments almost come across like you're jealous of any knowledge I may have.

I hate Borges, I think he is a vile scumbag, so damn straight I am happy he was canned. He deserved to be as does Tomase.

I can possibly dig those up. The Bouchette back and forths are comical. The guy was getting angrier and angrier (like you) with every keystroke.

What a fat turd he is.

Absolutely. I have no doubts at all that I would change my "12-4 every year or better, and pray for health" line to:

"No worse than 10-6 with JimmyG, maybe 11-5 or better, pray for health", if this was going to happen.

Brady has benefitted from the fact BB is incredible to the point, he's the best GM and coach in the history of sports. This isn't the NBA in the 1950s or 1960s.

This is the cap era NFL and he's done this in the face of a cheating commissioner, to boot!

Sure. Why don’t you dig those up for us.

Well, here is the actual email I sent my buddy, who worked with him and he called him a prik after working with him. Mybuddy has worked with numerous "famous" people.

Here is the email exchange from 3/5/07..

I never got a response from the Globe editor and I don't see an email, so it may have been a web submission.

"and I may not be the only one who caught this, but I am one of the people (obviously) that sent an email to the Globe and discovered this.

I am proud to say that I am responsible for this jerk getting a suspension. He really should have gotten fired.

I sent an email to the Globe editors, WEEI and the Boston Herald regarding this unbelievably obvious act of plagiarism.

Anyway, Ron Borges is a smug Boston sportswriter he was banned from the Pats locker room and for years has bashed the Pats, basically sacrificing his integrity as a writer.

He picked against the Pats in every post season game during their dynasty run. lol

Also, just recently, he wrote a column for MSNBC saying linebacker free agent, Adalius Thomas is the best player on the market and the 49ers would most likely sign him. Low and behold, the Pats sign him out of nowhere and he submits a column this past Sunday saying he is a bad signing because he won't fit into Belichick's system.

I am surprised they didn't just fire him outright."

As I read through these, which are hilarious (note the tital of the email of me calling him a fraud), Bouchette just backpedals faster than a Jon Jones 40 yard dash. This was after me sending him Cowher's 12.3.10 interview on 98.5 Sports Radio. He was completely bamboozled and flustered:

"You are wasting your time emailing me because I really don't give a hoot.

And, just for the record, the Steelers have won 2 Super Bowls since the Patriots last won anything. Plus, I don't care who really wins, but the Patriots WERE convicted by Goodell for cheating and paid a pretty good price. Stick that in your lawsuit.

Thanks for writing, you will now be blocked."

So, my 2002 and 2004 ones to Bouchette aren't being found that far back on an email search.

Poor Kontradiction.....exposed...

Like I said, some people might be a bit more knowledegable than you. Shocking, I know, considering your own ego.

lmao

Yeah. “Must have been a web submission”.

are these kids naive and know very little about the working world we live in.

I think its a combination of above and emotion. Put them both together and you get a thread with a title like this one. Sometimes it can be difficult to rationalize with someone with those qualities, but I understand the passion. Do I think Butler should have been in the game? Yes. Do I know why he wasn't? No. Do I think the reason Butler was benched had anything to do with the overall system? Yes. Do I think Bill wanted to intentionally lose this game? **** No. Do I think the system works? 8 Super Bowl appearances. Do I think Tom Brady is the goat? Hell Yes. Do I think Tom Brady realizes he plays for an organization with the best system in pro sports? Yes.

Note to whoever (I won't use the M word). - Don't think play calling on the field when you think system. Think the overall system. The machine called the NE Patriots.

Your comments almost come across like you're jealous of any knowledge I may have.

Nope. There are plenty of people on this forum who have a better football IQ than me. You might even be one of them.

It's the sheer amount of childishness, chest-thumping and obnoxiousness in your posts that are gradually convincing me to just scroll past your posts.
