I expect that lots of players will be recuperating.

We probably should pound Gillislee into the ground next week. Dion’s given us our best running game since 2012 & should be protected from injury.

We probably need Gronk to move the ball. He should be pulled if/when the game’s out of reach.

I wonder if BB plays Hogan to make sure there isn’t that much rest heading into the playoffs.

Unlike this Buffalo game, which I thought was very loseable, I can't see us losing to the Jets and Bryce Petty so I would be very conservative with the likes of Van Noy, etc, who probably could come back. I'd probably go with today's inactives though I suspect Van Noy will return but Hogan won't and Burkehead definitely won't.

Normally I would say that if the Steelers lose tomorrow the pats should just forefit.

On a sligjtly more serious note assuming rapist and the gang win, Pats have to play their game. What is crucial (regardless of the Steelers result) is that more play time is given to guys like Britt, Dorsett, Allen and Hollister because they need to get in synch with Brady as much as possible.

Why can’t they rest? If Pitt ends up with the same record we own the tiebreaker right?

Well Pitt would have to lose to the Texans tomorrow. If they lose we could drop the Jets and still keep our seed. If they win we have to play starters and win our game. They would be playing the same time next Sunday and there is no way in hell they'd lose to the Browns next week.

This will be the first question this week at the BB presser:

BB: this game is just like the other 15 games we will put out our best effort to win (sucks teeth).

Clearly Branch and Burkhead will be OUT.

Based on what happened when Hogan and Van Noy were originally re-activated after their injuries, I'd be inclined to be cautious and have them sit.

White is a question mark since we don't know whether they sat him as a precaution or because the injury is fairly serious.

BTW - I just noticed that, although Harris was active for the game yesterday, he didn't record a snap, even though Grissom got in 8 snaps at LB late in the game. Still, if Van Noy sits one more, I'd have Harris as an active bench reserve unless Reilly can fill-in.

Other guys who have been dealing with dings recently would include Waddle (ankle). He was also active yesterday, but only got 4 snaps (kneeldowns) in relief of Solder, plus 7 snaps on ST blocking for FG and XP.

King and Slater have both been dealing with hamstring issues, but neither seemed bothered yesterday. King was in on at least one ST tackle that I saw (with Grigsby), and Slater even got in a couple snaps at WR, in addition to 15 ST snaps (3 units).

SIDE NOTE:

After yesterday, Lewis is up to 973 yards-from-scrimmage and 7 TDs (combined rushing/receiving). Five or so total touches against the Jets should put him over the top.

Also, Cooks (quietly) went over 1,000 yards receiving yesterday. He was already at 1,010 combined scrimmage yards going into the game, and now stands at 1,035 for the season, with 6 TDs.

“You know I got rhymes like Abe Vigoda.”

(Thirty years ago—sigh)

I wonder how many people got that.

On this board I feel as if Gen X and older is a minority by wide margin.

Id rest all the same guys and take gronk/dion out if we get a comfy lead

The Jets do not want to win this game. They would fall way back in the draft with a win. I bet they pull some people too.
