I’m surprised how many taking the $. I’m older so maybe money matters less
I are not of the understanding of the answer to the question?Poll: How much $ to have not had Brady/BB or any SB wins?
In other words you trade the winning history (it magically vanishes) but you get the cash...
What is your price?
That's is a beautiful post. Bravo!!!The thing about pro sports is that, as great as championships are, the novelty wears off pretty quick. Winning the Super Bowl is great, but after a few days it's just business as usual. It's not like my quality of life greatly increases over the next six months. Before long, it's just focusing on the next season, looking into the draft, offseason acquisitions, etc...
Having a storied franchise history is cool, but then I look at 49ers fans resting on their laurels from 20+ years ago and it's kind of sad/depressing. I guess what I'm saying is that sports are the ultimate form of "what have you done for me lately?".
Sports are just a form of entertainment. I can handle losing, provided a game is entertaining. My "settlement amount" would be pretty low. Now if the question was, "how much money would it take for you to live in a world without organized sports", the amount would be a lot higher.
No kidding. 3 college tuitions, 3 weddings and they won't move out until they are 30, I figure i'll need to work until 104.Staring down 4 college tuitions and unclear how we are going to pay, I'd have to go with door no. 1 Monty...But then again I would not know the highs I was missing.
Somebody please hop the next flight to Greece, go to the tomb of Diogenes, wake him up from his long ago death and tell him that we have finally found an Honest Man!i would take the deal for way less than 75k
