If we win the next 3 and (1) Pitt loses one of their next two, (2) the Jags to also lose one of their next 3, our last two games (Bills & Jets) are meaningless and we have HFA wrapped up as of the end of week 15 (EDIT: unless we win the complex extrapolation of a 3 way 12-4 tie -- in which case we don't need the Jags to lose a game).

Jags would have the best conference record in such a 3 way scenario (10-2); Jags would get the 1 seed, the Pats the 2 and the Steelers the 3 (same 9-3 conference record as Pats, reverts to head-to-head).

If Tennessee wins out instead in that specific scenario, and there's a 3 way tie at 12-4, Tennessee would be the 3 seed due to worst conference record (8-4; Pats and Steelers would still be tied here at 9-3), then it reverts to head-to-head where the Pats would win out.

Good clarification. The only problem with the Titans/Jags win out scenario is the Titans v Jags game is week 17 -- which blows up the '2 meaningless games for the Patriots' meme. So Jags lose 1 over the next 3, Pitt loses 2 over the next 3(one of them being to the Patriots), so the Bills and Jets games are not relevant to seeding (though practice, prep and first halves of each game should be treated, IMHO, like they are regular meaningful games. Only those playing with chronic injuries should be given the kid gloves option)

The headline sounds like some of our players have chicken pox.

glad to see hogan finally start to return to the field. Probably out this week, but makes me think he will be back for the dolphins game and full go vs. the steelers.

hopefully just a rest/maintenance day for brady due to the sore achilles. didnt seem to hamper him too much last week.
