Mariota is hugely overrated. Dude was awful.

Who does he have outside of Murray? Decker, even in his prime, was merely a WR2. Mariota is no world beater, but the amount of legit weapons he has at his disposal is sorely lacking. You also can’t play purely zone against Roethlisberger or he’ll eventually figure it out and light you up.

The one concept that's interesting is the idea of the Steelers secondary playing man.

Can they play man coverage or can they play man against a Patriots offense.?

Tennesse is so badly coached, I could literally pick run/pass on every play their first 2 series. They are way to Vanilla almost of as if they dont trust Marriota and after 4 picks its hard to blame them. I dont get the announcers giving guys like him and Jameis Winston a pass saying how talented they are, yeah Johnny Manziel is talented QB as well and can scramble and occassional can throw a td but yeah he gonna throw 4 picks as well. At somepoint as a QB you are what you are not just what you appear to be on paper.

Unfortunately this game pretty much went as expected. I so badly wanted the Steelers to lose but that was not going to happen the way the Titans played
1. The Titans might have been the worst 6-3 team I have ever seen.
2. Matiota was awful. Some of his picks not even Johnny Foxboro would not have thrown.
3. The Titans put zero pressure on Ben the entire game and he was very comfortable in the pocket for most of the night. And pretty much had his best game.
4. The Steelers did not impress.


My takeaway from last night is that the Pats have to get pressure on Ben. If he has time to sit back there in a clean pocket, he has a very good group of receivers to throw to. Probably the best overall receiving corps in the NFL.
Get a decent amount of consistent pressure on him and he will throw a couple of picks.

Titans are a young team with some talent however they have a HC that is clueless and should have been canned after last season.
