So, what worries you about O̶a̶k̶l̶a̶n̶d̶ Mexico?
  • The water
  • The food
  • The food dishes being cleaned in that water
  • The smog
  • The alitude
  • The smog staying low in that altitude
  • Ron Mexico introducing Ernie Adams to one of his friends
  • Giselle being kidnapped by a gambler betting on the Raiders
  • Ian Eagle and Dan Fouts possibly announcing the game
  • NFL VP of International Game Operations: Mike Kensil
  • Kensil plotting to steal all the Pats visas during the game
  • Kensil plotting with ICE to not allow the Patriots in to Mexico, resulting in a forfeit
  • Kensil plotting with ICE to not allow the Pats out of Mexico, resulting in 7 forfeits

The Oakland offense is for real. We need Gilmore and butler to play sound coverage because Oakland can strike for the big play.

The Oakland defense is not for real! We should have a field day against those db’s if Brady gets the time to throw. Cooks could have a huge game.

Should be a fun game. They have had their bye week just now which should help them. Also we can't expect the Pats to have their A game 2 weeks in a row. Being in Mexico City could be a wild card.

A lot of reasons this game could be close. Oddly I don't think it will.

The Raiders were my pick to challenge the Pats in the AFCCG this year but they just have not looked the part most weeks. They are clearly missing something they had last year and haven't looked like a good team much this year even in some wins.

Next month will likely determine where the second game is played, but I wouldn’t be shocked to see an overreaction in Dec and a rematch in Jan.

Something to ponder in terms of game planning, showing a full hand, etc. I’m guessing Pittsburgh will throw everything at the wall next month, whereas Belichick may be slightly more reserved, keeping a trick or two in the bag.
I am more worried about the Chiefs than Pitt.

I've gotta say this was by far the most impressive win of the season. Beating the Broncos in their house is no small feat.

As for Oakland, I believe the Patriotd are the better team. Obviously playing in a foreign city, higher altitude will be the big test. Glad they're staying in Colorado for the week.

So, what worries you about Oakland?
I've heard that officials from the Mexican soccer league will be refereeing the game.

The season is going to be Pittsburg in December. Everything leading up to that is just a formality.

What an odd coincidence. Look at this quote:
"The season is going to be a game in Pittsburgh in December. Everything leading up to that is just a formality"
Steelers HC Mike Tomlinson speaking to his team just prior to yesterday's game against the Indianapolis Colts that the Steelers eked out on a last minute field goal.

I fully expect the Steelers to shoot their wad during their matchup in December, without having enough awareness to think about a rematch a handful of weeks later.

The Oakland offense is for real.
They’re 19th in yards and 15th in points. In 5/9 games they’ve scored 17 or less.

Marshawn Lynch has been a tremendous failure. Amari Cooper has totally sucked until a couple of games ago. Obviously, they have big play ability like most teams, but I’m not sure that they’re quite on the same plane that you’re placing them on.

Sup, how can I take you seriously right now? You're a closet Bronco fan who is probably furious that the Patriots routed them :):):)

Seriously, since I'd be surprised if the Patriots and Steelers don't matchup in the playoffs, the regular season game is, on one level, a practice for that matchup. So I'm good with the Steelers playing all their cards for the regular season game.

Yep, pretty much exactly how I feel, too. Obviously, it would be great to win in Pittsburgh in Dec., but I have a feeling the Steelers will be treating that as their SB, while Belichick may be preparing for a second matchup in the back of his mind.

It may be hubris on my part but the Patriots playing in Pittsburgh is not the very concerning possibility that, for example, it is in past Denver playoff matchups. I feel like playing in KC would be more concerning too. For Pitt my sense is BB has a decent handle on how to beat them anywhere.

#1 seed is the best possible outcome but getting the Bye is the more important step, IMHO. Hypothetically speaking, if we get the Bye but it's the #2 seed, and it means we have to play the AFCCG in Pitt, I can live with that... :)

Their running game hasn't been the same as last year. That's the difference.

Still want the top seed. It's been awhile since this team went to the Super Bowl as another seed not being the top seed.

I'd much rather play them in Foxboro. I think they can win the regular season game and get the playoff game at home.

I have a bad feeling about Pittsburgh this year, like I’m reliving the nightmare of the 2015 Broncos. They’ve been incredibly lucky and healthy....I have this bad feeling they will get every break imaginable and beat some injury depleted version of us by a point. And, I just hate that team so much I couldn’t stomach watching them win it all. Easily my most hated team in the NFL.

The just lost Joe Haden for 6 weeks with a broken leg. Mitchell is out too. They have a short week.

Roeth has been garbage and their running game below par.

As long as NE stays healthy they will hang 30 on that D.

They have been injury free but that offense's very limited. We are more explosive on offense. Unless we suffer major injuries before that game i don't see how we don't win that game but let's see what happens.

Im more concerned about the idiots with laser pointers aimed at Brady’s face while he’s throwing a pass. That stuff is outlawed in NFL stadiums and shouldn’t be allowed in.
