2014 NFL Draft QBs

3 Blake Bortles
22 Johnny Manziel
32 Teddy Bridgewater
36 Derek Carr
62 Jimmy Garoppolo

Some QBs prepared to start this season

Chad Henne
Mike Glennon
Josh McCown
Tom Savage
Trevor Siemian
Brian Hoyer
Jay Cutler

Another QB likely for the bust column in Bortles. QB talent is not meeting demand right now.

Has the problem been with Bortles (not putting in enough film study, not willing to listen to coaches, etc.)?

Has it been due to poor coaching (not working with him on his mechanics, etc.)?

Or is it neither (i.e., he was over-hyped and more worthy of being a 3rd round QB, not 3rd overall draft pick)?

From what I understand he can't score touchdowns in the first quarter and is a raging boozehound.

He's an absolute mess.

He should just be glad it's someone who actually plays in the league. Reading another thread you might think Conor Mcgregor beat him out.

I think I know what the press release announcing his release will end with:

Too much time on Wikipedia.

Why did they even give him a shot this year ? What has he done other than get drafted much, much to high to suggest that he should even be on the roster ?

I'm glad BB doesn't compound mistakes like this.

Lol Chad Henne starting...in 2017?

Jacksonville is a top candidate in my opinion for a Garrapolo trade this offseason. They have no long term QB, Coughlin and BB are friends and there's no way I see Coughlin wanting to start over with a rookie QB.

As opposed to a regular boozehound?

I find the dynamics of the Jax QB decision an interesting power play between new HC Marrone, inherited GM Caldwell who both have to satisfy new team president Tom Coughlin.

Is Marrone saying I refuse to tie my first year to this loser and find me something better or just trying to light a fire under Bortles?

Jacksonville being a navy town I doubt they will consider signing CK.

Is it possible Marrone recognizes Bortles has lost the faith of his teammates?

Looking at that list, I still believe in Hoyer and Siemian. In that shaky division, Hoyer actually stands a chance and wouldn't surprise me if he leads that team from worst to first.

Back to the original topic. Bortles sucks. He throws interceptions for fun and I would bench him for nonchalant attitude towards that.

I don't care what anyone says...

Those things were damn good.

Could only have a couple though. Too sweet.

Ya give us that top 5 pick and more

a little OT but...sometimes when I'm driving in the car or I'm out for a stroll all alone I break my own silence by uttering "bortles"...it's a great non sequitur. Try it yourself sometime when you're bored...maybe a neighborhood dog will come running.

He looks more like Blake Bottle

Well, that tends to happen when you have more career Pick 6s than first quarter TDs.

If their season goes predictably down the ****ter they will have a full front office shakeup with Coughlin in charge of that.

If Coughlin hires the right people, I wouldnt be surprised if this became a job that might be interesting to Josh or MattyP. The Jags have pieces on both sides of the ball and if they could land an above average QB they would be formidable at the very least.

Bortles got ruined by his horrendous last season. From not working with Tom House (blame Gus Bradley) to throwing a ton of INTs really hurt his confidence. Prior to last season I think there is definitely potential, but thank the incompetent Jags for ruining a promising QB.

You think the 49ers are going to win a division with Seattle and Arizona in it? How? If they won 5 games it will be a miracle. They were probably worse than the browns last year and have done little to improve.
