picks are not working. player suspensions are not working.
i think banning BB is the next move

True, but it would be refreshing if the NFL* could find an actual violation next time, before punishing the Pats.

I am really getting excited for Kenny Moore as I continue to think about it. Was a good story in spring and seemed to make plays daily. Today he made more plays than anyone else on the field. I am now on the hype train. He should make the 53 cause his upside appears to be way up there.

Happy to see Kenny Moore doing things. He could make this team but he is a bit small at 5'9 180lbs. Unlike Butler he isn't thick. I am not sold on Cyrus being here. I am not afraid to cut bait with him if he can't get out of his head.
I think Cyrus, at this time, is closer to cut than making the team. I know some will disagree because of his draft status, but unless there is marked consistent improvement, I don't think BB will waste a roster spot on someone who is not fulfilling the primary reason he was drafted and would likely just end up being "IR-ed" again because he isn't performing when it matters. Practice is practice. You have to do it in a game.

I think its a combination of things that are clouding people's judgement.

Injury history
Not as explosive as 2015
Gillislee here
Burkhead here
James White love affair
DJ Foster binky-itis

As a player overall, a healthy, 2015 Dion Lewis has shown more than James White. Period. Case closed.

Why should we not have a James White love affair though? Didn't he earn that? He was solid all of last year and beastly in the super bowl. He is the first 3rd down back they've signed long term in a while re-upping him and rightly so. Dion Lewis was a beast in 2015 no doubt. But give me White cause I know he will be out there. Also improved as a runner just to not forget that.

Honestly I am very disappointed to not see a single tweet about Gilmore. I know he was out there today. I was hoping he'd make a good impression and seeing as we spent 14M a year on him I was hoping to see the impact today. Not an unfair expectation for a guy you pay that much for.
Take this with a few grains of salt, especially considering it's only day one, but I heard that he's been inconsistent while I briefly listened to Zo and Bertrand on a bank run at work.

He has all the tools. I gave him a pass for his inconsistency to this point on the count that he's played for different coaches and DC's and he had a very undisciplined, albeit talented, group around him in BUF. He must succeed here, though. Big contract and winning team with consistent leadership from the very top to the bottom. There is no excuse for someone with his physical tools to fail in this environment.

I can't speak for Rob, but I don't think he's necessarily trashing White . . . at least not how I read it. Lewis is a more explosive player who makes more things happen. White had a very consistent season and a great SB. But that doesn't automatically make him superior. I think he's a better pass catcher and a better blocker on blitz pick up, but Lewis is just better in every other way. He even runs between the tackles very effectively, which is something that White only kind of showed in the SB to this point. We'll see. But assuming complete health, I think we see 2015 Lewis and that guy is just dynamic.

If Moore turns out to be Malcolm Butler 2.0, the heads exploding in the NFL* front office would be numerous and awesome.

Of course, we would then see the NFL* ban BB from signing UDFAs.

Oh I am not saying he is trashing White. I am just saying we need to not get overly excited about Lewis. Lewis might be very good. In fact I think he will be. However he is a niche player who will see a few snaps here or there on this team as of now for a number of reasons. A big one being he will get injured if used too much. So while I am happy he is back and looking good I am not expecting him to do anything too much to help the team at least in the regular season.

My hope is he will be used rarely and then featured more in the playoffs if he can stay healthy till then. Even if used rarely that might not be the case and he will get hurt no matter how carefully they use him. I just want realistic expectations is all.

Now I loved reading every post of this 10 page thread as much as anyone but there is a reason I wasn't among those in attendence today. But here's the thing...It's SHORTS and T-SHIRTS, guys! Making pronouncements on who looked good or bad in shorts and t-shirts may be fun for a football starved fandom, but no one is making or not making this team based on anything that happens in a short and t-shirt practice.

I'm fine with the mediots telling us what they see, but trying to extrapolate that into "
who looks good or bad and what it means" is just ludicrous

The biggest thing I came away with from the first TC practice is that I am officially worried about Kony Ealy. He walked off the OTAs and has been MIA ever since. Hope he didn't injure himself. He is a roster bubble candidate as it stands so any additional lost day makes it just more unlikely that he will get through cuts.

Apart from that, nice to see the team working again. Can't wait to see where we are after a full week.
