Too bad the Spurs were not a matchup in the entire series, this GSW team is so smooth.

Lebron is a generational passer, like this isn't up for debate. He is insanely good at it.
That's one big reason there's no Kobe vs LeBron debate. LeBron can kill you with his passing.

I dunno if I'd say that, but hes probably top 3. I think CP3 and Rondo can arguably throw a better pass. LeBron is certainly the best ball handler in the league by far. I'll be SHOCKED if LeBron doesn't kill us tonight. I'll say 40pts/10ast/17rebounds.

I would disagree on his placement, but we're essentially just bickering over slots 1, 2, and 3. Regardless, the guy is an absolutely phenomenal passer...

You could argue he's the best for sure. Just saying those two are in the discussion. LeBron's scoring ability makes him a bigger threat than those two opening everything up for his passing.

Hmmm...speaking of Larry...

check out Bird's shot @12:17...and Kevin's block @12:50
Do you believe they showed these games on tape delay?:D

thanks for sharing that video from 1981 - here's a story about that week. I missed the last 3 games of that series on a trip to Jamaica, to my everlasting regret. There was no internet/tv/news down there about the series, which I thought was over as I left here down 3-1.

I was in a cab at 2AM in Montego Bay about 5 days later, and the cabbie had a weak radio signal from Miami that drifted in and out. I barely heard a sports talk host say 3 or 4 words before cutting out that implied the series was still alive, which I then calculated would have been after game 6. I couldn't believe it and then had to endure another day knowing there was no way I'd be able to watch game 7, as that was when I'd be flying back to Boston. Aside from deaths in the family, absolutely the worst day and a half of my life. As we landed in Boston, the pilot announced the Celts had just won game 7.

Young-uns today can't imagine the white-hot rivalry between the Celtics and 76'ers from that era of late-60's to early 80's. Very intense, as you can see from this game 6 video with bodies flying everywhere and Max fighting a fan. This video shows the quality of play, how athletic Bird-McHale-Parish-Max were, and on the other side Dr J, Bobby Jones, Cheeks, Toney, even Dawkins. The 3 point shot was only in its 2nd or 3rd year and was rarely taken, the style of play was better.

Cavs may have gotten more time back had Ty Lue been smart enough to call a timeout. Suppose it'd be nice if he was an actual coach instead of a puppet.

Ty Lue is kind of like the Tony Dungy of the NBA.

Of course, you could probably say that about any of Lebron's coaches.

Nah Dungy was good...not a Hall of Famer though...

Did you at least afford yourself the opportunity to partake of Jamaica's more, ah, well-known wares?

Why risk robbery and violence when the best "wares" in the world are grown in the good ole U S of A.

It was also good to see Al Horford remember that he's 6'9-1/2 245lbs, and not 6'2 190. His low-post offense will have to continue to be productive against a defense that no longer has to worry about IT either shooting from deep or penetrating the middle.

But in 1981, we in Dorchester MA (and Memphis TN & Beaufort SC after I joined the USMC) were still using the cheaper, less efficient Mexican stuff. The chance therefore to try the more-efficient, tastier Jamaican might've been tempting; it would've been to me.

Back then, $10 would get you a s sizable bag of "wares"

Fair weather fan for this run. Looking forward to tonight.

oh yeah - the ganga was better there than anything I tried back home.

Not saying the trip was all bad, topless beaches and pools, etc. But the Celts were my passion.

Well this is pretty wild....thought LeBron would kill us for sure...yet here we are.

Lebron is sitting the rest of the half. The may win this. He gets 1 more he sits the 3rd.

Is this a dream?

Wow. That is all.

What is going on? Wow...
