Florio is absolutely pummelling Goodell's credibility on Deflategate

Florio, Sally Jenkins, Dan Wetzel, et al. can write as many articles/columns as they want, and it won't make a difference unless ESPN gives it the full, all-hands-on-deck, round the clock outrage outrage machine treatment, like they did with Spygate, Deflategate I, and Ray Rice post-elevator-tape-release controversies, which would in turn force the CBS and FOX gameday booth broadcasters to talk about.

It needs to be unavoidable. If the average non-Patriots NFL fan can follow the NFL without hearing about it every five minutes, than he can and will ignore it.

The last thing we want is for the Krafts to say anything about it, because the story needs to be the NFL vs. the Truth, not Kraft vs. Goodell. If anyone involved with the Patriots makes any sort of fuss, than ESPN can just write a "he said/she said" story, bring up Spygate five more times, and pat themselves on the back for actually covering it, and not turning the blind eye to it like they've done with every other development that shows Deflategate to be the witch hunt it was.

If Kraft had any balls he'd see the "much ado" comment as the slap in the face it is and get his lawyers to draft a formal complaint right now. And deliver it to the League in the middle of the second half on Sunday.

Honestly I wouldn't like that. But friggen Max Kellerman saying that New England fans should be happy about the double standard that took place......... And that we shouldn't be mad at all>>>.. did he just forget that we lost things?

Max Kellerman is also an idiot.

The fourth rounder isn't gone yet.

If RK made a big enough stink publicly about everybody else gets a pass for jogging on the highway and we got convicted of jaywalking in the ped crossing, maybe gotohell would be forced to suspend that part of punishment.

It will never happen.. The NFL already looks like a bunch of idiots and have embarrassed themselves with the deflategate BS. They want it to be forgotten and never talked about again. They will never apologize for it and if they did what the **** would happen? You tarnished someones reputation and punished the team by suspension and taking draft picks and money... they cant apologize. They won't apologize.

I am glad the Giants reported the PSI levels though it just makes them look like complete morons.. New England is big enough to shed some more light on how bad the NFL really is.

Yeah I am sure he miss spoke. When you start lying it takes more and more lies to cover up your original lie. Roger is a .. no seriously I hate the ****ing guy. I really do. He is a gigantic ****y and will never come to Gillete Stadium while Brady is playing QB. If ever did show imagine the crowd chanting Roger.. Roger.. Roger... Roger... that would be epic! He won't though.

Roger "I bleed green and white and not because I have the clap" goddell is a jets fan and the worst commissioner in the history of the nfl.

He is pond scum and not worth the effort it takes to hate.

Ignore him!

The problem is one doesn't sue oneself.

The NFL is part of his business. People have got to stop thinking about him being the owner of the New England Patriots - - that's just for public consumption. He is merely a Regional Sales Manager (with equity) for the NFL. All the "owners" are.

Would he like the Pats to win - - of course - - there is a very big part of him that experienced that team since 1960. However, that sentiment is nice, but his is a part owner of the NFL......and THAT is the trillion dollar baby. It is why idiots who couldn't run a popsicle stand like Irsay or Woody Johnson or whoever the freak is running the Oakland Raiders in a broken down old baseball stadium where they tarpaulin off the upper deck still make tons of money from this. - - it's the NFL that is the determinant of profit, not the individual team.

And one does not sue oneself. (But can do plenty of lip service to keep the local customers fooled).

Anyone lamenting how he "doesn't have the balls to stand up to the NFL" doesn't understand the reality of the situation. He is not "one of us" but hopes you remain fooled regarding that. I fully admit, I used to be.

.
Partners sue each other all the time. Take for example joint ventures in the oil business.

How is he that much different from the posters here who say we should just forget it and bow down to Goodell's will?

Interesting. Do you have any examples of 1 partner suing 31 other equal share partners in an oil business? Seems to me that would be one heck of an uphill litigation.

Think of what happened to Stirling with the LA Clippers. They forced him to sell.

The big problem is the Boston media. They hitched their wagon to he's guilty so much that they cannot get on board this train. They should all be fired and run out of town because they cannot do the job that is required.
I've slapped a few of them around. Felger actually cried when I slapped him.

I don't disagree there is some risk, but that's where the "balls" part comes in. Also, I think that situation would be highly distinguishable based on that owner's conduct there, whereas the Patriots are innocent (which should be easily proved). On the other hand, obiter comments seem to suggest at least one judge on an appellate court thought there was a deflation scheme, but again, due to poor tactics by Kessler (which I raised at the very outset and Sally Jenkins eventually agreed with) that wasn't the issue.

How so? I'm thinking of calling in after I heard the "you cheated" comment today. Especially abhorrent with the Steelers stuff coming out.

They need to go.

I just chose this example because it was recent - CanLII - 2016 SKQB 188 (CanLII)

Holy crap, why couldn't Brady have gotten THAT Judge?????

3. Conclusion as to duty of good faith

[104] The defendants did not lie. The defendants did not mislead. The defendants did not use the busted butterfly structure for the purpose of avoiding the ROFRs. Rather, they used it for other legitimate purposes – albeit recognizing that it would have (in their view) the side effect of not triggering ROFR notices. Knowledge does not always translate into intention, and in this case it did not.

[105] There was, in the conduct of the defendants, no breach of a duty of good faith. Finding no breach of the duty, it is not necessary for me to determine whether such a duty was owed to Northrock by all of the defendants.

99% of casual NFL fans probably watch ESPN
1% read the Washington Post (Jenkins)
5% read PFT/Florio
25% May watch pregame NBC on Sunday night

For Florio's "pummeling of Goodell" to get any publicity, he at the very least will have to do it on Sunday night when he gets face time on NBC.
I love Sally Jenkins but most people have no idea who she is and they don't read her or her paper.
