That was down a million bucks from the year before and $8.2 million down from 2012, but well above his nine-year average compensation despite many embarrassing moments and repeatedly losing wrestling matches with labor law during the past year. Where do I sign up for that kind of rebuke?

One can only hope your bosses get so angry with you they just slap the compensation ceiling on you at $20 million per year. Take that, mister!

Damn. Borges stepped onto his road of redemption with this piece. He will need to keep producing to redeem himself however. I am damn close to dropping the NFL and get on with real life. I'm tired of being a sucker and enriching these sharks. I love the diversion football provides though--and they know it! It would be easy to drop this obsession if we had a team that was lazy or incompetent and took fans for granted, but we have Bellichick and Brady! Damn! Not an easy time to quit football. Eh. Borges has /always/ been anti-management when it comes to the NFL. Every single time it comes up, labor issues, what have you. This isn't him having any rational thoughts about the Pats, it's him indulging his knee-jerk obsession.

Exactly. I think the only time I've seen Borges take management's side in a dispute was with Brady's court case. Funny how that worked out.
