Borges: Roger Goodell is NFL's Money Man
That was down a million bucks from the year before and $8.2 million down from 2012, but well above his nine-year average compensation despite many embarrassing moments and repeatedly losing wrestling matches with labor law during the past year. Where do I sign up for that kind of rebuke?

One can only hope your bosses get so angry with you they just slap the compensation ceiling on you at $20 million per year. Take that, mister!

Damn. Borges stepped onto his road of redemption with this piece. He will need to keep producing to redeem himself however. I am damn close to dropping the NFL and get on with real life. I'm tired of being a sucker and enriching these sharks. I love the diversion football provides though--and they know it! It would be easy to drop this obsession if we had a team that was lazy or incompetent and took fans for granted, but we have Bellichick and Brady! Damn! Not an easy time to quit football. Just retire damn it and I'm outta here. I know I'm being played but it is like a drug addiction. Rescue me!

Every time anyone clicks on a Borges article a very cute little girls puppy dies.. no matter what he writes he can never be redeemed.

As opposed to an ugly little girl, who probably didn't deserve the puppy anyway.

It's Borges and Goodell,
It's Borges and Goodell,
One's drunk on power,
The other's just drunk.
They're faces are so smug,
Their brains must be drugged,
It's Borges, It's Borges and Goodell-dell-dell-dell-dell-dell.

Sheesh rooting for Borges ... best done while sitting in a soapy spa with the jets on heavy wash.

Maybe I am one of the very few who believes Borges has been closer to objectivity than Pats homers in recent years.

Real recent ... but he's not to be trusted as long as Belichick is our coach.

He had to be objective at some point lest he always look like an ass-clown.

Eh. Borges has /always/ been anti-management when it comes to the NFL. Every single time it comes up, labor issues, what have you. This isn't him having any rational thoughts about the Pats, it's him indulging his knee-jerk obsession.

This all goes back to Borges' old man being a union brick layer... Ronnie's always pro labor, unless of course the pro labor stance conflicts with his all anti-Patriots views....

Exactly. I think the only time I've seen Borges take management's side in a dispute was with Brady's court case. Funny how that worked out.
