At corner possibly, but our safety situation is much stronger. And has that happened to Butler yet?We are a Butler twisted ankle away from being worse than 2011.
Did I miss the news where the Colts traded for Rodgers?

Disagree. We have a much better safety core right now, and it isn't even close. We could move Dmac to cb, and start Harmon at the FS spot and we still have a much better secondary as a whole. And that's not even talking about the whole defense where the front 7 is much better by farWe are a Butler twisted ankle away from being worse than 2011.
you're jumping waaaay too far hear. Is it an issue? Yes, but let's not act like we're in dire straits here with our situation. This isn't 2011 here.
I think we even let Tyler Palko nearly throw for 300 yards that year...I bet Weeden wishes it was 2011 . That season our secondary was generating better contract possibilities for QBs like Weeden. Yet we made it to the SB too. We must have really revved up the gatorade heaters and radio jammers that season

We are banking heavily on Malcolm Butler being healthy....
It's obviously the Pats' primary area of concern, so of course losing the best player from the current group would be bad. No reason to automatically go there though. We are a Butler twisted ankle away from being worse than 2011.
I agree that he isn't that good of a corner, even if he's very good in situational man coverage as a safety closet to the line. But what I'm saying is that even with him at corner, which is not a good move in my opinion, we would have a better secondary than we had in 2011. I put that down because it's kind of my worst case adjustment scenario in case Butler went down. If Dmac stays at safety our secondary is much better than in 2011, even without Butler. Much because Dmac really limits the offenses ability to go deep. With Dmac out Harmons plays the FS spot much better than anyone we had in 2011.DMac cannot play corner, his 1st season was an aberration.
