Edelman back at practice

Glad he looks good. Still don't want to see him until at least the Jets game and then I would rest him again against Miami.

Why?

It's a foot injury which can be re-aggravated as badly in practice as in a game. Doubt the doctors would let him freely practice if the bone wasn't fully healed. If JE is practicing normally (pre-injury) then it may be best to get him back into the lineup on a limited basis.

wow cant believe he's running routes in practice. maybe initial diagnosis is incorrect since pats never release details? if he plays this week or next or after that, i just hope he's 100% for the playoffs

I want him out there as soon as he's ready. Not a min later or earlier. Hopefully knock some of the rust off before the playoffs.

Even if he is ready and coaches think he is ready and everyone else says he is ready It just won't feel right to see him play this week. He is human.

I say rest him. We don't need him against Tennessee. I would prefer to rest him against the Jets too and let him see some action in Week 17 to knock the rust off. This is a foot injury and it's shown to be especially hard on WR's that make sharp, violent cuts like Edelman does. It couldn't hurt to be extra cautious.

I'm thinking he's been put on a rehab device called a bone stimulator that speeds the bone growth. Eli, Peyton, Aaron Rogers and Dez Bryant have all used one to come back from bone related issues.

Really don't get the "don't play him against the titans" stuff.

Let him play and knock some rust off in a limited role, get back into the flow of stuff. That way he can be ready for basically what will amount to a regular season playoff game. If Pats beat the titans and then beat the jests that's more than likely HFA wrapped up and it puts a big dent into the jests playoff hopes.

We all know who Belichick has connections with..

The quicker we can get our offense flowing like it was to start the year, the better. It probably won't ever be that good again this year because of lewis but getting edelman back can only help.

Mike felger just suggested that Edelman must have used peds to come back so soon.....
