Incognito suspended indefinitely by Dolphins

Some folks, notably Deus, are overcomplicating this. If you make threats, and the target thinks they're real, you screwed up. Period.

Maybe you're the only one at fault.
Maybe it's a miscommunication in which both people are at fault.

But the person who makes the threats is far from blameless either way.

Fail.

Show me where racial taunting and monetary shakedowns of its own enlisteds are the accepted policy of the officer class of today's US Armed Forces.

In fact, show me an officer who has been publicly proven to have done that, and I'll show you an officer who has been shown the door.

And Shmessy goes for the straw man!

Asking for context, and suggesting that we wait for the evidence to be made public, is only overthinking it to those who can't be bothered to wait on the facts in their haste to string someone up.

The fact that someone resorts to personal attacks under those circumstances says a lot more about the personal making the attack.

Gee, where have I heard that before?

It may reflect poorly on the poster, but it has no bearing on the strength of the argument.

Which you then "disagreed" with.

I'm not talking about specifically the father thing (which you're wrong on, because you refuse to recognize the vailidity, for some reason, even when the Miami Herald got involved).

I'm talking about your statement that personal attacks necessarily negate a person's argument. Which is ridiculous.

Technically he hasn't been released yet, the reports are just saying it's a foregone conclusion.

Actually, it indicates that they're in the process of cutting him. How accurate the tweet is, I don't know.

Stupid Dolphins, acting without proof.

I agree that it's a process, I was just pointing out that it's not done yet. I imagine it will take some time. They'll want to discuss with the NFLPA, the League etc to make sure they comply with all rules.

That being said, I don't want to get into five page spat over it like Schmessy and Andy Johnson. No one wants to read that drivel.

The Dolphins may well have what they consider to be plenty of proof. We likely haven't seen everything they have, however, which is the point.

I've been involved in a lot of hazing on football, basketball, and baseball teams. Either having it done to me or by administering it. In cases I've been involved in or have seen first hand, unless the administer is an ass, it doesn't escalate. In the couple of times that I can remember it did, it was policed internally.

We'll apparently the hazing in the NFL has not been "policed internally" effectively enough and now a billion dollar industry has a major problem on its hands.

What rule is the NFL going to put in place?

Option 1: OK, hazing is fine, just make sure you guys police it internally.

Option 2: No hazing.

We don't know that for sure.

You might want to take this up with the military, and let the military leaders know that all their studies and years of live testing don't actually prove what they seem to prove.
What rank exactly does Richie Incognito hold over another player on his team? This isn't the military where there is a rank and file system which demands that lower level soldiers follow the orders of their superiors. Also, the military has radically changed since you were in and doesn't allow for this type of nonsense.

The facts already released are sufficient to support a partial conclusion.

They should cut him based on the Shefter quote alone.

We need help on the offensive line, let's sign him.

Well, death threats in the state of Florida, for one.
I find it hard to believe that he could be charged with a death threat.

Why would you assume they are acting without proof just because we don't have it?

I find it hard to believe that he could be charged with a death threat.

The Massachusetts police arrested 2 dudes for hanging a Light Bright with a cartoon character on it in a public location.

Really not sure what your obsession is here, or why you continue to want to create things I did not say and attribute them to me.
I did not say that acting childishly NEGATES an argument, I am saying its the typical response of someone who does not have one.
