Interesting. The Demps move is disappointing because our return game is going to suck again. Forston, Francis, Rivera, Cole, and Moore shouldn't all stay either but I bet 2 or 3 will.

All in all, I don't think they're even close to done with their moves.

That's messed up about Demps, I think we just placed him there to save him for next year. It didn't seem like his injury was a season ender.

I don't think so. It had to be an in-season placement on IR, except for this year, and I think the only people who could use the exception for this year were people already on IR.

I could have that wrong, though.

There's an exception to that for this year, but Demps doesn't seem to fit in it:

Here’s where it gets complicated. Because teams already have cut to 75, a special procedure applies for 2012. As to teams that already have placed players on IR, the player for whom the short-term IR procedure will be used must be placed back on the active roster by 9:00 p.m. ET, August 31. He’ll then count as one of the final 53.

Then, after 4:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, September 4, each team can place one player on the modified IR list.
