Will Pryor get fined and/or suspended?

No kidding, the way they were acting, I thought there was no way his jaw wasn't shattered. What a Drama Queen.

Absolutely F'in hilarious that it was just a cut on his chin after they were acting like he was paralyzed on the sideline, and he was acting like he had a broken jaw after the hit.

One of the Minn. trainers looked like he was actually laughing at how much of a *uss Favre was being.

True story: You can get hit on the chin and become woozy. I know that internet posters are all from Krypton, but NFL players are only human.

In defense to Lord Farve, it isn't just a "cut on the chin", he could have had a concussion or at least "had his bell rung" when you get a 300 pound man hitting you in the chest and landing on you. It whips your head around. Try it sometime.

Myron looks a bit heavier than 310 and Favre got hit with his full forward momentum. Favre's head looked like it snapped forward into the crown of Pryor's helmet. Those are the hits that leave receivers sprawled on the ground for an extended period. Love or hate Favre, he took the hit and didn't get knocked out as many would. That is saying something for anybody, not just a 41 year old playing in the NFL.

I don't see how the NFL could fine Pryor for this.

It wouldn't be the first time the NFL fined a player for a helmet hitting body and THEN hitting the QB's head. I don't expect a fine, but I don't rule anything out with Goodell.

In fact, if you get hit on the right spot on the chin and you're knocked clean the f*ck out. They call it the button for a reason. What's more, the infamous mouthpiece the Pats use is designed to better disperse force delivered to the chin in order to prevent concussions. A significant chunk of concussions originate in the chin/jaw.

Wait, wait...this IS Favre we're talking about, right? I was told for 3.5 quarters yesterday that he wasn't human...he was super human, with an unrivaled ability to heal.

Yes, I know, he did look woozy.

The only thing wrong with that hit in anyone's eyes is that it wiped a smile off of one of the league's darlings.

I thought the penalty on Guyton was a bit soft too. Call it homerism, but I thought Guyton was leading with his shoulder. Nobody wants to hit with their helmet; it does not feel good.

If they really want to focus on safety, they should probably focus more on hits that happen half a second after the runner is clearly down. At least half of the plays have a defender getting a shot in late.

I don't think there is any chance that Pryor gets fined. Great tackle.

Most of the people on ESPN are morons.

Fine, fair enough. Any other QB I'd give 'em the benefit of the doubt anyway--it's just that Favre is so consistently the dramatic one it's tough to take him seriously.

No chance that Pryor gets fined for that hit. The helmet slid up, there was no intent.

If it were Satan Manning, he'd get suspended.

nope, neither

every guy in sportscenter called it a legal hit, textbook sack and so on

Ironically, it looked like he lowered himself so he wouldn't get a helmet-to-helmet penalty. This would be pretty ridiculous to fine or suspend a player who is following the rules that were just laid out pretty clearly. My guess is the helmet-to-helmet crackdown will lead to more injuries than before. You're going to see more hits to the throat, neck, sternum, and back.

Recall Vince Wilfork getting flagged for a hit to the knees when he hit the QB at the waste and slid down to the thighs. I don't recall if he was fined for that, but there is precedent for the strike zone moving.

Thank you for the laugh of the day!

Wilfork was fined originally. However, he appealed and it was over-turned when it was pointed out that Butler blocked him into Losman (?) and that the hit was, actually, at the waist.

If the media actually cared about Favre's longevity and discussed more of the hit then Goodell may of taken action. Truth is no one cares so the NFL can move on to more highly visible issues to go overboard on.

A fine? I'd like to give him a reward.
