Apparently the team had originally decided if they lost on Suday night they would fly home overnight. That is what they should have done. Then they changed their minds and scheduled a late morning return flight on Monday that would have had them back here around 7PM. That was before the flight was delayed due to mechanical problems.
Eventually ownership had to charter a 757 which had not left LA as of 5PM California time. The Lakers on the other hand have been here since dinner time. Stupid mistake. Hope it doesn't cost them game 6. Channel 5 just showed them arriving at Hanscom after 11 in the pouring rain. |

They got out on their scheduled flight at 10AM their time and they showed them arriving at their hotel on the early (6PM) news.
Guarantee you the C's management learned a hard lesson. Hope the team can pull it off on adreneline. They also mentioned that Ray Allen was not on the charter because of leaving right after the game to attend to his child. They did say he is expected to be here today. |
