Default Celtics shop Rondo & Allen to the Pistons.

Celtics shop Rondo, Allen - NBA - Yahoo! Sports

The Boston Celtics appear willing to make major roster changes to balance a chance for a championship run and future financial flexibility.

The Celtics offered Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo to the Detroit Pistons for a package that included Richard Hamilton, Tayshaun Prince and Rodney Stuckey, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Boston general manager Danny Ainge and Detroit’s Joe Dumars never spoke, but rather the Celtics had a lower-level executive make the pitch to a Pistons official over the past weekend, league sources said. Detroit immediately rejected the idea, and it never advanced to the two top executives speaking about particulars.

Sounds like Danny is on a mission.

Every day there is a new rumor on the Celticsblog. Everyone has been rumored with the one exception of Pierce. DA may not make any trades involving the big names, but it will still be interesting to see what he does on draft day as he is such a great judge of talent. I believe they still have the rights to someone over in Europe.

It's all just a bunch of noise.

Trading Rondo would be beyond asinine. What are you left with? A 2-guard who can't create his own shot, a 4 who can't play in the post and excels most when he is fed off penetration, and a 3 who can score at will and create his own shot, but at the expense of the flow of the offense and the team.

All 3 of our new Big 3 have a glaring weakness or deficiency in their game, and none of them won anything until they came together - but the missing piece was Rondo, and if it weren't for him, they'd still be 3 HOFers without rings.

Frankly, we've seen this team without Rondo, and its not nearly as good. Any trade involving Rondo would be a white flag on winning the championship with the new Big 3.

If Scal leaves ... who will become the token white guy on the Celtics?

Rondo is a future star.

KG for Al Jefferson straight up.
