None will be more than marginal starters (at best) within 5 years. Are we given up on the careers of Allen, Hurts and Fields too??

QBs are the most important piece of a team, because they are responsible for the highest proportion of plays that determine the outcome of games.....and how many games has he missed already.
And again I reiterate for the umteenth time, QB's DO NOT make or break football TEAMS!!!! Otherwise, the Bears wouldn't have the first pick in the draft this year. Is Brock Purdy the next coming of Tom Brady, OR are the Niners a really good football TEAM. QB's are the most important players on the offense, simply because they touch the ball on virtually every play. BUT as we SHOULD have seen over the years, defense and ST's play important roles too. We probably are in the playioffs if we played better special teams in Buffalo
If you base your entire efforts finding the ultimate QB, then you will end up neglecting the other aspects of your game. Aaron Rodgers, Matthew Stafford, Dashaun Watson, Justin Hurbert and the aforementioned Lamar Jackson are ALL exceptionally talented QB's who have put up tons of great INDIVIDUAL stats over the years, and yet only Rodgers and Stafford ever won anything (and only ONCE) and then only when they had LOADS of talent around them.
Just sayin', because I don't want anyone to lose sight of the FACT, that having that top 5 QB throwing to a top 5 receiver is NOT a guarantee to success, especially in an age where injuries seem so prevalent. In order to win today you TRULY need a deep 53 man roster and help on you PS. I believe the only way top heavy, all in teams can win is if they are very, VERY lucky with their health,

QBs don’t win games by themselves. When teams are reasonably evenly matched the QB is the most likely difference but not always.
Tom Brady isn’t the GOAT because his skills exceed every QB who has ever played. He is the GOAT because he made the plays at the most important time more often than anyone, while also being on a team that pit him in position to have that opportunity more often than anyone else.
The success of your franchise starts with the QB. If any fanbase should be aware of that it's New England's. Brady was the only player there for every Super Bowl championship. 6 game-winning drives in 6 Super Bowls. Do you realize how ridiculously clutch that is?....and how many games has he missed already.

When healthy, Lamar is a far better quarterback than Mac. Lamar with Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall. And that Jets defense. Be afraid. You don't want a healthy Lamar in the East. The Ravens are a far better coached and well run organization than the Jests are.
Lamar Jackson’s postseason stats:
4 games/one win, 56% completions, 3 TD's/5 INT's, 68 QBR, 19 sacks, 113 passing yards per game, 6.6 yards per attempt and 5 fumbles.
Ten turnovers in four games…
What are we supposed to be afraid of again?
That's an awful take.None will be more than marginal starters (at best) within 5 years.
Lamar can't throw accurately from the pocket against the better defenses in the league. Teams have figured him out. When healthy, Lamar is a far better quarterback than Mac. Lamar with Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall. And that Jets defense. Be afraid. You don't want a healthy Lamar in the East.
Can't really blame him for not wanting to end up as RG3 2.0Nothing like a guy that quits on his team and refuses to play.
Brock Purdy is laughing at this right now.The success of your franchise starts with the QB. If any fanbase should be aware of that it's New England's. Brady was the only player there for every Super Bowl championship. 6 game-winning drives in 6 Super Bowls. Do you realize how ridiculously clutch that is?
Look back at all of the HOF quarterbacks who have won Super Bowls over the last 40 years. Trent Dilfer is the exception to the rule.
Just look at our division. Buffalo is the heavy favorite for the next few seasons at least because of Josh Allen. With the talent gap between Allen and Mac Jones being so large, the Patriots would have to have significant advantages at several other positions to make up for it.
Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, Herbert, Jackson, Watson, Lawrence... these QBs will dominate the AFC playoffs for the next decade.
Yes, QBs rule the NFL.
Fields has a very long way to go to reach marginal nfl starter. That's an awful take.
Allen is well on his way to a tremendous career and he's still only 26. Marginal in 5 years? Laughable. He's nearly a lock to win the division for the next 5 seasons.
Hurts is just getting going, he's only 24, and he's got an excellent young team around him. You have him marginal before he hits 30?
Fields is 23. He improved greatly from his rookie season and he's surrounded by the worst talent in the NFL. Give him anything to work with next season. Fields has a very high ceiling and very promising career ahead of him.
I get how he is looking at it. I don't believe any team out there will look at it the same way. He will definitely get a huge contract but that fully guaranteed thing is a pipe dream. Especially now going in 12 missed games over the past two years. Can't really blame him for not wanting to end up as RG3 2.0
Not impressed with 7.1 yards per carry and 1143 yards rushing from a quarterback? He improved as a passer too while throwing to trash. Fields is easily the second most talented quarterback taken in that draft. Can't imagine your opinion of Mac Jones is very good.Fields has a very long way to go to reach marginal nfl starter.
49ers quarterback line this season:Brock Purdy is laughing at this right now.
Well at you have Lamar getting the Jets into the playoffs. They haven't made the playoffs since 2010 and they've finished last in the division 7 of the last 9 seasons. Lamar making them a playoff team is a win for that "organization."Lamar can't throw accurately from the pocket against the better defenses in the league. Teams have figured him out.
The Ravens have actually won a Super Bowl, they're a better run organization. There's nothing to be afraid of, Lamar is getting older and slower, not faster. And he still hasn't developed into a pocket passer. Him going to the Jets would doom them to playoff failure annually. It would only be a good thing.
He threw for less than 150 yards a game. Not impressed with 7.1 yards per carry and 1143 yards rushing from a quarterback? He improved as a passer too while throwing to trash. Fields is easily the second most talented quarterback taken in that draft. Can't imagine your opinion of Mac Jones is very good.
I know. Are you aware of how bad that team is around him? No skill position players and an o-line that gave him about half a second to throw. He threw for less than 150 yards a game.
Lamar Jackson is a slightly- better -than-average qb who chokes in the playoffs. He is barely a top 10 qb and that's beingI know. Are you aware of how bad that team is around him? No skill position players and an o-line that gave him about half a second to throw.
He won MVP of the league. Unanimously. WTF are you talking about?Lamar Jackson is a slightly- better -than-average qb who chokes in the playoffs. He is barely a top 10 qb and that's being
generous. You have no clue what you're talking about.
