So there's the precedent. $100k doesn't seem like a big price to pay for a team to mess with the injury report and throw other teams a curveball. Or give one of their buddies inside information to bet with and make them rich.

Goodell's #integrity baby.

As the article mentions, when the Falcons did it, they got a $75,000 fine and coach Smith got a $25,000 fine. Interesting that this one was instead fully applied to the team. 49ers had been docked a 5th and had their 4th dropped by 4 positions.

Weird, inconsistent punishments.

EDIT - Added words for clarity.

I would have expected a harsher punishment, given that this can affect betting lines.

Not exactly the response you'd like the league to make, especially after the NBA thing. BUT the Ravens have always been one of "favored few".

thats why theyre the dirty birds…

Well it is for the integrity of the game afterall
Yup, because when I think "integrity" I think "Roger Goodell."

Anyway, has the league released the punishment against us for the Ravens doing this yet? Of course Vrabel and Maye suspended for the rest of this season, I mean that's a given, but draft capitol? Fines?

Yeah at least the Ravens didn’t have cold weather because two chipmunk farts worth of less air pressure in footballs is literally a crime. Or something

Or violate a memo. That's another wicked bad one.

Revenge vs the Ratbirds in a few weeks and Indy possibly in the playoffs would be like the good old days.
