Did we have pools before the free agency?

As I recall, before we franchise Thuney, almost all of us expected him to simply walk with 2021 a 3rd comp as compensation. Now, maybe we'll get a 2020 mid 3rd.

Then, Belcihick will have the cap freedom and an additional pick to make trades for vets, perhaps even using that same 3rd rounder.

Many here disagree. I just don't see Belichick paying $15M for Thuney.

Eagles need o-line help in the baddest possible way
Completely agree they have also been trying to unload Alshon Jeffrey.
Wouldn't shock me to see him or Goddart involved in any trade

it could get real interesting would love to end up with Goddart and Howard after draft weekend.
Best thing for any young QB

Thuney and Edelman to Tampa for a second round pick.

Any trade to Tampa has to start and end with Howard being involved.

Maybe, if we throw in the rights to gronkowski, we get Howard instead of the draft pick.

but how is bb going to get to continue to draft a defensive back in the second round!

Plus the Eagles have the 3rd most cap space available.

Detroit remains a possibilty as they have 2nd most cap space available.

I'm surprised there isn't more interest in Thuney as he might be the most intelligent player in the NFL. You would be getting a great guy to teach other players.

In 2014 Logan Mankins was traded away to Tampa for a 4th and Tim Dwight

Hedged my bet. Said Trade here. Said extension to Miguel on Twitter.
Sadly it was because I couldn't remember what I'd said previously.

Lost in this is that we have mid round investments in Frojholdt and Cajuste from last year.

BB’s willingness level to part with Thuney will likely be telling of how they feel about those two as long term players.

Might as well give them Gilmore too. Ughh why does everyone want to jump ship. BB & Dirty Bob will find a way to compete. It's a new era & we should be exited.

I have always considered fixing the offensive line to be job 1 for bb this offseason.

So many questions there:

1.) can cannon and Wynn stay healthy?
2.) can Andrews come back healthy?
3.) what do we have in frodholtz and cajuste?
4.) what are we doing with Cunningham and elumuner?
5.) will mason ever get above “jag” as a pass protector?

Only bb and the coaching staff have the medicals and progress reports.

as things stand right now, we replaced karras and Newhouse with frodholtz and cajuste.
If everybody is healthy and/or projects to be healthy, bb does not need to invest high draft picks in the offensive line.

it would be extremely unfair to stidham to go into this year with “hope” as the strategy for the offensive line!

More and more likely Thuney gets traded. Looks like a « we can get a higher 3rd in 2020 instead of a comp 3rd in 2021 »...

really too bad, as I have always felt Thuney exemplified exactly what BB wanted : smarts, strength, commitment, reliability, availability, shut your mouth & play.

I understand the $ aspect, but I guess I am lamenting the (probable) loss of a real gem.

$15M is a lot of money for a guard. If they need the cap space, he’s a goner as I’m assuming he won’t take less than his franchise tender.

Quentin Nelson will command close to $20M per year of Thuney gets $15M per year somewhere.
