I think fans would be in for a rude awakening to learn how athletes, especially one of Brady's statue, care little about the loyalty to the laundry. He's a worldwide brand, not a regional one. I am not saying it's not on the radar, but it's not likely entering into his thought process when it comes to the branding of TB12 and any future business ventures.
I just don't think any of the people actually in the game are about the team they're with except that it is their situation. It feels good or does not, the incentives are there or not, they feel they are still achieving there or not, they want to move or they don't want to move, and so on. Ennadaday, they're people with jobs/careers. You want them to like the company but there are other ones out there.
I had a feeling -- not an analysis, a queesy feeling -- before that first Gintz SB, that BB so valued his glory days as a Giants assistant that he could not wrap his head around taking care of business against them either time. Like, he could never forget his first girl, now his with this New England gal and she's just fine, but he couldn't ever fight with Mama Blue. Like his NY days were back when he could still form an attachment. It made me sick when they followed him around the old digs with the camera, with him saying "Tom sat right there, I sat right there," etc.
I am sure that was just the mind doing what the mind does, making up stories. Of course if BB's mind played the same movie... eh, best not to think about it.
But with Tom, nah, he knew when he left he was in F This mode. It had run its course. Done.
