On Sports Tonight, hosts Michael Felger and Lou Merloni play a game of fact or fiction and pose the question, "Is there a chance that Tom Brady is taking the fall for Bill Belichick on Deflategate?"

"One hundred percent there's a chance," answers Ben Volin of the Boston Globe, "I couldn't tell you the percentage of that but there's a chance. Definitely what [ESPN's] Stephen A. Smith said last week has a lot of merit because he was dead right about he cellphone thing.

And fairness, I think they were talking about Felger and Mazz's ridiculous theory that Brady's testimony proves that he is taking the fall for Belichick. I don't think it was Volin's theory.

Make no mistake that came from felger who was probably sitting right next to him. But i'm sure mci bought right into it.

Gotta love the production guy's shot at them though, "despite no tie to deflation; conspiracy theorists abound"

I forgot to add what Trollin' said. I edited my OP.

Hes bought into it.

C'mon, he had to be role playing right? Pretending to be a stupid Jets fan?

No?

Oh.

Trollin' is Felger's beetch.

...who deleted his tweets that accurately stated that Wells got his facts messed up.

Hubbuch keeps on Tweeting that no player former or current has publicly defended Brady. He tweets it almost every day. And every day he get tons of tweets pointing out the many players (former and current) who have defended Brady and yet Hubbuch tweets out the same tweet the next day.

Has Hubbuch ever interned for Roger Goodell?

Felger is approaching John Tomase levels of hatred from the NE sports fans. Why he has chosen this path...a path that defies logic, common sense, and realization of who's his audience is? This is career suicide. The Borges' and Tomase's of the media can always find a paycheck but they will never earn back the respect lost once they get proven wrong. Felger's days are numbered IMO. Only so much goodwill will be extended to a confirmed Patriot hater. His future will be as a spot guest...not a host. At some point, Comcast will have to discuss Tanguay as well. How many obtuse morons can one network keep in front of the camera.
Curran..on the other hand.....free drinks for life and his own 4 hour show.

Felger and Mazz have been yelling their theory that Belichick is involved with deflating footballs for a while.

They admit that have no proof of this, but they're using "common sense"

Dumb question, but would Belichick have any legal grounds to do something about this?

I mean, I would assume that if I started writing daily blogs stating that I believe that Felger is molesting neighborhood children, and while admitting that I have no proof of it, I keep saying "come on, it's so obvious, look at the writing on the wall", I would eventually hear from Felger's lawyer.

What is up with this stuff? So glad I don't have to hear these nitwits. The Boston media is so far removed from reality.

They are just auditioning for their dream job at WFAN or ESPN.

It drives me nuts that people believe that there is some "side letter" agreement between Kraft and the league that if BB get nailed with another rule violation he is banished and TB and Kraft are covering it up....Madness.

If the NFL wanted to nail BB they would have created a case - just like they did to Tom.

What we know is that Spygate (which is complete BS) factored into deciding the severity of the sanctions vs the Pats. That is what ****head Vincent said in his letter. 7 1/2 years ago....

However, I think Squeaky is right in the sense that BB does know what PSI the balls are set to. But thats it.

"One hundred percent there's a chance........I couldn't tell you the percentage of that"

What a wordsmith. This theory is the dumbest put forward by anyone, and that's saying something

Are we sure Volin didn't co-edit the Wells Report? "More probably than not generally aware"... "100 percent there's a chance, I couldn't tell you the percentage on that, but there's a chance" ...

Seeing that his math skills suck eggs, he works for Exponent.
