Patriots Announce Parcells, Edelman 2025 Hall of Fame Induction Date

One of the final dates we’ve been waiting on hearing was announced on Monday, with Bill Parcells and Julian Edelman’s induction into the Patriots Hall of Fame now firmly on the calendar.
The Patriots announced that the ceremony is slated for Saturday, September 20th at 4:00pm in what will be a free event held at Gillette Stadium.
It’s been a long-time coming for Parcells, whose name had previously appeared on the ballot but it was ultimately owner Robert Kraft who helped finally make that one come to fruition.
The 83-year-old former head coach took over the club in 1993 and led the team to its first Super Bowl appearance in over a decade following an 11-5 finish in 1996. Unfortunately, they came up short against the Green Bay Packers in a 35-21 loss, and Parcells left the team following that season.
His departure came following a disagreement with the personnel department over the selection of late wide receiver, Terry Glenn, with Parcells ultimately joining the Jets.
Meanwhile, Edelman’s rise was certainly memorable, with the former 7th-round pick in 2009 out of Kent State becoming a key player on offense with former quarterback Tom Brady.
His clutch performances in big moments ended up being the reason for New England’s three championship wins during the second half of Brady’s tenure, including his huge reception late in the 28-3 comeback win in Atlanta that helped spark that victory. He also caught 10 passes for 141 yards during the team’s Super Bowl win over the Rams, earning him the MVP honor in that victory. He eventually retired following the 2020 season.
He earned the fan vote for his upcoming induction last month, finishing off what’s certainly been “One Helluva Story” for the former receiver.
Edelman’s induction came ahead of former Patriots great Adam Vinatieri. Hopefully, we’ll see Vinatieri’s name back on their at some point, especially given his incredible contributions during the start of the team’s first championship wins.
