The Tom Brady I know is the one who just said Friday: "we aren't going to back down to anyone, and feel that we'll show what we're made of over the course of the next few months." (slight paraphrasing)

As much as the media wishes to make up stories about Brady being soft, a diva, or constantly upset about decisions, that's not the guy that we've grown to know over the past 14+ yrs.

While there may be some truth to the fact that Brady and others were complaining about the loss of Mankins, I highly doubt that it's anything close to what they are reporting. Screw ESPN.

You're telling me that everyone should be shocked because he was taken in the 2nd, compared to the last 2 draft selections at QB (2008, 2011) who were taken in the THIRD round instead? I think that's silly.

Most of us expected a QB to be taken in the draft, especially when you take the pattern of every three years into account--2008, 2011, 2014. We just didn't think it'd come until the 3rd or 4th round, that's pretty much the major difference.

Belichick saw a better player in the 2nd, and went one round higher than he has in the past, but he's been taking high round QBs in the draft as far back as 6 years ago.

The Pats have made it a habit this year. Playing from behind is really killing them. Takes away the run, makes the offense one-dimensional. Keeps the defense on the field the entire game.

Theyve gone three and out every games first offensive series. Teams with supposed sb aspirations don't do that; meanwhile manning throws for almost 500 against an alleged "very good" defense...
