Sean Payton says Broncos "are not trading" Jerry Jeudy

True but I don't see any reason why the Broncos would help us while hurting themselves. And I'm not even a huge fan of Jeudy but he is the best WR on either team right now. Although I may like our top 3 WRs over theirs.
I'm not a Juedy fan either and I question how much he would help the Pats.

Hes OK, but Wilson had 2 studs back in Seattle with Lockett and Metcalf. That's the kind of WR I want for this offense.

No DC is losing sleep on how he will stop the Pats WRs.

isn't he banged up too sometimes which was a knock on hopkins?

I think he plays the game in a pretty hard way, similar to Edelman in that regard, where he's going to go for the extra yard even if it means taking a bigger hit. So he's usually got a little something going on physically, but in his 6 seasons in the league he's played in 15+ games in 4 of them, so he's been mostly available during his career.

As for his age, I think he came into the league older, which is why it doesn't feel like he's played long enough to be 30.

Wilson showed signs of decline the year or two before he was traded. His TDs were among the worst of his career and watching him he wasn't the same guy. He has lost his mobility. He hasn't been mobile in three years and has become more of a pure pocket passer.
Wilson had 40 TDs in 2020. He missed a few games in 2021. No question, he was terrible last season, alarming drop off. Brees wasn't mobile and Payton had him racking up 5000-yard seasons left and right. I would put good odds on Wilson for CPoY.

And the Bengals cannot resign all their guys with several players coming off their rookie deals in the next few years and demanding top of the market contracts. They are likely going to lose Higgins in free agency next year. He is going to demand top of the market money as a #1 WR receiver or need to be franchised. The Bengals are going to lose him. They could potentially get a first rounder to lose him this year. That is why they would trade hi,.
If I'm Cincinnati then I ride it out in 2023 with my WRs because I have a good chance of competing for a Super Bowl. I also don't think they could get a 1st round pick for Higgins. Maybe last 1st.

Who said they think Stidham is a franchise QB. If they benched Wilson for Stidham, Stidham would be a stopgap to draft a first round QB next year or the year after.
Payton loves his stats too much. He wouldn't be able to stomach Stidham for a whole season.

LOL! I said why. If the Rams don't think they are going to be competitive and Kupp hitting 30, they may be willing to move on if they are going into rebuild mode. Who would have thought the Chiefs would have traded Tyreek Hill last year or the Titans trading AJ Brown? People scoffed at those ideas and they actually happened.
The Chiefs got away with it because they have a magician for a quarterback. Tyreek is #2 on my NFL WR board.

AJ Brown is a beast. The Titans are a dumb franchise. Their HC is a blockhead too, yes, Vrabel. He should be unemployed after finishing the season 0-7 and gagging up the division like that. Pathetic.

They need a big fast CB in the first three rounds... I don't believe in superstition.
It would be very hard not to with the Patriots Draft history there.

When thinking about out WRs.. we should be doing everything we can to continue Thorntons development, He could very well be that answer for someone to take the top off the defense..
Sounds like another Harry.

I'm not counting on him because he has shown nothing.

I like juedy alot.. But I'm looking at it like this.. if Thornton continues to get better especially now where his head won't be scambling under real offensive structure.. then just maybe we could have something DCs have no choice to respect his speed..

You tell us everything and everybody on the Patriots sucks... how is this any different?

Agreed here. I don't even include Thornton in the WR depth chart. I guess the team thinks he'll step into Agholor's vacated role. It's not big shoes to fill but I think Thornton only wears boys size 6.

Finally someone talking sense... Sean Payton. He's trying to revive the offense. Trading your best WR doesn't accomplish that.
Lol... yeah, because Jeudy and Sutton were on the trading block forever and it went nowhere. Now they have to make these WR's feel wanted.

Payton is doing his best to revive the offense, he's building an offensive line over there... the same way Andy Reid, BB and every good coach does.

The same WR's, TE's and QB were there last year... or did you forget?

You'd prefer Marcus Jones on the outside against Garrett Wilson, Diggs, Lazard?

If not then we don't need to bother adding CB help in the draft? We have all we need at CB right?
We could use depth I think our top 3 are locked in

Same here... it's a shame that joeuan Williams was a bust.. we took him in the 2nd round I think.. Cyrus Jones, Duke Dawson... had they panned out wed have some depth.

As much as we all hate Bryant he is actually decent depth. And the safety group is deep too so if a situation calls for it Mills could match up as a corner vs some bigger guys.

I think the draft is the right place to add this.

Agreed!! We are very deep at safety.. I've mentioned before that Bryant is decent against the run when he plays at safety.. I believe that's more of a natural position for him.. CB not so much..

Supposedly the Ravens and Lions want Courtlamd Sutton.

I am so enamored and curious if the Patriots plan to move Mac or believe in him.
I don’t think any moves can be made on the offense til you know if Mac is the guy or not.

I had that thought at one point too but I think he actually played safety a little last year and it wasn't much better than corner. He's not as bad as we let on he's just not a starter.
