Sean Payton says Broncos "are not trading" Jerry Jeudy

There are rumors he doesn't. In fact, many in the media think the signing of Stidham was because they think that Stidham could win out the job from Wilson at some point.

Insider? haven't we learned anything about Insiders??

Unless he doesn't think Russell Wilson is the answer and wants to build a team where he can make a splash when he can unload the Wilson contract. If he doesn't believe in Wilson and believes Wilson is done, he is better off trading Jeudy and getting more draft picks. By the time they can unload Wilson's contract, Jeudy would be done with his fifth year option and demading near top of the market money or leaving in free agency.
Just my personal opinion, Russell Wilson is NOT done. Literally the first and only bad season of his excellent career. I think mentally Russell went sideways last season and I think Payton will straighten him out. Russell needs care much less about his image and get his head back in the business of playing great football on the field. I really think Payton is an offensive genius and he do wonders to revive that train wreck from last season.

I still think Tee Higgins could possibly be traded for the right price.
Again, why would the Bengals trade Higgins? Especially inside the conference. Higgins is a definite keeper, the Bengals need to figure that one out.

BTW, if Jeudy is off the board, I would be calling the Rams about Cooper Kupp.
Why not call the Vikings about Jefferson? My dream is DK Metcalf. But I think we need to be realistic. We're not getting either. Nor Kupp.

Pats and Broncos are in the same boat.

Both teams need to bolster its WR corps.
True but I don't see any reason why the Broncos would help us while hurting themselves. And I'm not even a huge fan of Jeudy but he is the best WR on either team right now. Although I may like our top 3 WRs over theirs.

It never made any sense to me, unless they are in cap hell.

1st year of a HC coming with a big name but not a lot of results lately , the same for a big $$ QB that needs to show something Asap, if they trade these players he's gonna throw the ball to whow?

Wilson showed signs of decline the year or two before he was traded. His TDs were among the worst of his career and watching him he wasn't the same guy. He has lost his mobility. He hasn't been mobile in three years and has become more of a pure pocket passer.

And the Bengals cannot resign all their guys with several players coming off their rookie deals in the next few years and demanding top of the market contracts. They are likely going to lose Higgins in free agency next year. He is going to demand top of the market money as a #1 WR receiver or need to be franchised. The Bengals are going to lose him. They could potentially get a first rounder to lose him this year. That is why they would trade hi,.

Jerry Jeudy's week has gotten off to a nightmare start upon hearing this news. Poor guy is stuck with a scrub QB who is clearly done. Russell Wilson is absolutely cooked, and was never even elite to begin with.

They should start Stidham, who is the vastly superior player at this point in time.

This is garbage. Payton's not dumb enough to think Stidham is a franchise quarterback. Wilson is the obvious QB1 there.

Who said they think Stidham is a franchise QB. If they benched Wilson for Stidham, Stidham would be a stopgap to draft a first round QB next year or the year after.

BTW, if Jeudy is off the board, I would be calling the Rams about Cooper Kupp. If Stafford is toast, the Rams are going to be one of the worst teams in the league. They only have about $11 million in cap space and only 44 players under contract. Trading Kupp, who will be 30 at the start of the season, would free up almost $4 million in a trade before June 1 and $20 million after June 1. His cap hits next year and the year after are over $26 million. The Rams may be in total rebuild mode. Not sure if they would part ways with Kupp, but it is worth an ask.
I think they've stated Kupp is one of their untouchables.

LOL! I said why. If the Rams don't think they are going to be competitive and Kupp hitting 30, they may be willing to move on if they are going into rebuild mode. Who would have thought the Chiefs would have traded Tyreek Hill last year or the Titans trading AJ Brown? People scoffed at those ideas and they actually happened.

We saw last year a bunch of untouchable traded. AJ Brown was untouchable until he wasn't. Davante Adams was untouchable until he wasn't. Tyreek Hill was untouchable until he wasn't. It is unlikely to happen that the Rams would trade Kupp. But after last year, I wouldn't be shocked if anyone is traded.

When thinking about out WRs.. we should be doing everything we can to continue Thorntons development, He could very well be that answer for someone to take the top off the defense..

Yes, we have learned. Sometimes they are wrong and other times they are on the money. Just like it has always been. People seem to only want to focus on the times they are wrong to discredit unnammed sources.

Kupp is that old already thought he just came in the league what a quick career.

I say use #46 and #76 on WR's if you miss you have bad luck.
I'd use the first three picks on OT, CB and possibly TE... the three biggest postions of need.

That being said there's an element of "best player available" at play in every draft. If some impact player is staring them in the face early, defender or any position, needs often go out the window. Especially if they feel the CB position for example is deep.

They could get by with the WR's they have right now and a couple later round rookies, one or two would pan out, and there will be veterans available after teams cut down rosters.... there always are.

No CB's in the Second Round please we know our history there let's not go against it.
