Honestly it doesnt matter what team NE plays at this point, for me if they dont win the SB this year it will be a great disappointment. If they cant win it this year I think TB wont see another one.

And guys go easy ok, this is getting way to personal in here.

We look like a really scared fanbase right now. First, that thread on the seahawks and now the ravens....

Seattle is legitimately scary. Ravens, not so much.

IDK, the Steelers crushed the Ravens at home this season 43-23 with Bell only rushing 20 yards on 10 carries in the game. In the other game, the Steelers won 26-6 with Bell only carrying the ball for 59 yards on 11 carries. I think the Steelers can beat the Ravens without Bell.

Actually the Ravens won the game in Baltimore very early in the season so they split the games. I do believe though that if Bell is anywhere near fully effective the Steelers will have no problem. That first game was a long time ago and Pittsburgh is the superior team right now.

If Bell is quite limited , you never know IMO as Bell is a huge reason for their turnaround.

You are right. I don't know how I had the Steelers winning the first game.

I was kinda shook up about the prospects of hosting Baltimore, but this thread has convinced me otherwise. One thing I do want to express though is that 41-7 game wasn't the cake walk you all make it out to be. If I remember correctly we got out to a 20-0 lead pretty quickly, then had a hard time moving the ball for a bit. They made it 20-7, then got a key stop and began driving again. For some reason, I think we picked off Flacco and that started an avalanche of points, but it wasn't the standard 41-7 thrashing you make it out to be. No chicken little syndrome, just my memory of that game.

You guys keep calling me out but I have seen this ****iness before and I am done playing the homer who thinks we will win by 40.

So we scored 41 on BAL.
Last year we scored 30+ on DEN and only 16 in the playoffs
2010 45 on Jets, 21 in playoffs
2007 38 on Giants, 14 in playoffs

The 09 season we scored like 27 on BAL and then 13 in the playoffs.

Every time you guys get ****y the team struggles, Brady will get hit, throw a bone head INT, Flacco will have all day etc. I think we win but it will be a nightmare game like 23-20 down to a FG, blowouts in regular season games have NEVER translated for us these past years. Call it as you wish but they are in our heads, its a mental struggle the last 3 playoff games against BAL, we went 1-2 with one win being off a drop and missed kick.......but yeah lets pretend we win by 40!

Edit: Might I add 2 of Brady's 4 INTs 2010 against BAL
2007 we almost lost our undefeated season to BAL, it took a bailout TO and a great pass/catch.

So in Brady's two best seasons, two of the best ever, a BAL team that struggled to blah blah sure didn't struggle to us, when do we accept that? Same goes for Giants, I fear those two even at 6-10 over SEA and I am not very superstitious.

While the Ravens may be in some fans heads, I doubt they are in the Patriots heads. The past is the past and has no relevance to 2014. The 2014 Pats are a better football team than the 2014 Ravens and that is a fact. The better team is at home, and the better team wins most of the time.

The 2014 Pats are also a better football team than other Pats teams of the past few years.

I would relish a chance to play the Ravens now, and same is true for the Giants. Bring them on and enjoy the W.

As they say...scoreboard. Blown out 41-7 in their house in a must win game for them.

Not the same Ravens. Gimme a playoff game against these Ravens any day over dealing with Peyton Manning and his team again.

Look, chump, you've called me a moron twice, a dumbass once and accused me of being a Jets fans. I'm not 12, and I attended the first Boston Patriots game ever in September of 1960. You started with this crap whining like a little girl whose dollie was stolen and in chasing the thief down you ended up with a skinned knee and a runny nose. You're pissing your pants in advance over the prospect of facing a #6 seed at home and your team is the #1 seed. Your team's most recent game against this reincarnation of the 85 Bears resulted in your team beating that powerhouse on their home field 41-7 when said powerhouse needed that game to make the playoffs. Quit your sniveling and whining and being scared. I love it when you chicken littles come out of Mommy's basement to try and scare everyone.

OMG enough. There are many fans here that agree with me. You disagree. Such is your right. I prefer not to face the Ravens. If that makes me a coward in your eyes then so be it. You are old and I respect my elders. I apologize for the insults. Calling anyone a Jets fan is out of line.

The Ravens worry me. That is all.

lmao .. for real .. I'm glad I moved out of Peabody, Ma where I grew up. I don't remember living in such fear when I lived there .. Don't know how you guys live over there ...

Anyway I say bring on Indi and Denver

Eh. Peyton in January in Foxboro the way he's playing isn't all that scary either.

Colts yes. They don't match up well with the Pats ground attack.

Now I think way too many fans are severely underrating the Broncos. Any honest fan knows they are a better team than they've showed by a lot. Say what you want about forehead but anytime you can avoid him in the playoffs you did all right for yourself. He still makes me cringe and will do so until he retires. The Broncos also have a very talented defense and a solid pass rush. Other than kicker, there aren't really any holes on that team. They will also be much healthier in a few weeks than they've been.

There are valid reasons to fear another game with the Broncos... not so much the Ravens.

To me Ravens are like the 2010 Jets. Bad feeling. But this thread has sort off convinced me that whomever it is, bring it.

In 2010 the pats were not healthy. Hernandez was not 100% healthy and that definitely affected the team against the jets...

Good point. Forgot about that. Thank you.

Nice way to switch up what I meant but my point is Brady will not have a career game, Gray will not score 4 TDs, Flacco 4 picks, and NE winning by 30.

The ****iness is fine, I was with you guys 07-13 and in those 5 playoffs I finally learned to accept that just because a team looks like **** against a and b doesn't mean they will come to Foxboro and get blown out, BAL isn't coming here and losing 41-7, I would love it to happen, but I learned my lesson the 4th or so time this avg team took us to the wire if not blown us out.

How on Earth does the ****iness of fans have anything to do with how the team plays?
