The 2014 Pats are a better football team than the 2014 Ravens and that is a fact. The better team is at home
The 2009 and 2012 Pats were better than the 2009 and 2012 Ravens.

They were at home and lost by double digits both times.

How on Earth does the ****iness of fans have anything to do with how the team plays?

Please see the post above.

God it is so hard to make simple points here, your ****iness isn't affecting the field, but by being ****y and attacking me you realize I am no longer down with it, because I was with you guys the past 6 or so playoffs and we didn't win the SB in either, but each year it was always about how NE was going to blow everyone out.

I think BAL is going to hurt our offense and we win by a FG, am I allowed to say that? Am I allowed to say we won't beat BAL 41-7 like the homers?

You were doing OK Felger/Shank/Borges until your very last word:homers. Then you gave it all away. You have an agenda. So close to success...

What does that have to do with these 2 teams?

I don't care, I didn't attack any posters here, now you are attacking me and comparing me to guys I don't even respect (felger said Red Sox were an 80 win team when they won the WS last year).

That is pure logical fallacy, I am felger, I am rex, I am always an enemy despite being a die hard who always has and will live and root for all 4 Boston teams.

The guy I quoted said the Pats were better, the Pats were better than the teams who beat them in 13, 12, 11, 1o, 09, 07 was my point.

We are always favorites but that means zilch was my point.

Ravens beat us twice and almost beat us 2 times, gave us a fight 2 times, lost a decent fight 1 time, and got blown out 1 time. In those 6 games we were the better team, yet 2 blow out losses, 1 blowout win, 3 close wins.

Key statement is that 1 blowout win, that is 1/6 times we blew them out, every other game was a struggle at some point if not the whole game.

What's your definition of a homer?

A team with Dumervil, Suggs and Ngata would be problematic. I would rather not see those guys period. Also want no part of the Smiths or a rejuvenated Forsett.

Vs. Pitt, Bell is dinged up and Revis would slow down Brown. Indi is not as physical and Cinci while talented has the least talented QB. So out of those 4 I would like to face Baltimore the least.

Just my opinion.

I agree with this post. As a rule, take the team with the least number of edge rushers and QB's that have won SB's

Best Choice: Indy
2nd Best: Cinci
Least Desirable #1: Pitt
Least Desirable #2: BAL

Edit: Might I add 2 of Brady's 4 INTs 2010 against BAL

One of them was a hail mary into the end zone with 4 seconds left from midfield before OT. Hardly the defense forcing Brady into an INT.

Revis will have way more success against either smith on Baltimore than Antonio brown on Pitt. Brown is elite, those other guys are not.

I'm not attacking you. If it feels that way, I apologize. I suspect we have more in common than not fanwise. I just don't understand why fans around here have this Calvinist/Catholic guilt (before anyone goes politically wild here I'm a product of both Catholic and public schools) about enjoying our teams and their success. Why does it always have to be mirrored by dinks like Shaughnessy and Borges and Tanguay and Felger who have this dark, pessimisic, gloomy viewpoint on a perpetual basis? All of the empirical evidence of the last 15 years contradicts their douchbaggery, but fans who love to wallow in their negativity and pessimism seem to love to agree with them. Well, it's BS, and if you want to wallow with them, be my guest.. But, don't attack me for calling you out on it.

Agreed but Revis can't cover them both and then there is those three veteran D linemen

Nice way to switch up what I meant but my point is Brady will not have a career game, Gray will not score 4 TDs, Flacco 4 picks, and NE winning by 30.

The ****iness is fine, I was with you guys 07-13 and in those 5 playoffs I finally learned to accept that just because a team looks like **** against a and b doesn't mean they will come to Foxboro and get blown out, BAL isn't coming here and losing 41-7, I would love it to happen, but I learned my lesson the 4th or so time this avg team took us to the wire if not blown us out.
I never predict any game to be a blowout. I just want them to win.

Your posts are aggressive. Worrying is part of being a sports fan in Boston.

2009 Patriots werent that good. Just a product of Belichick coaching and Brady carrying them.

2012. Pats didn't have Gronk and then Talib tapped out. Game was 14-13 in going into the 4th. Ravens scored to make it 21-13 with 14 min left. On the ensuing Pats drive Ridley gets knocked out and fumbles, setting Ravens up in Pats terrority and they score. Game was a bit closer then the score indicates Pats just unfortunately didn't have their best offensive player not named Brady and their best defender left in the 2nd quarter.

Really? The '09 Pats was decimated at Defense by the losses of Bruschi, Rodney, Seymour, Vrabel et al from the season prior, Brady back his first season after major injury, AND Welker going down in week 17.

2012 we lost Gronk and any honest fan would have placed the Ravens that year as the best AFC team by far.

More to the point, the 2014 Ravens are a shell of the team they were just last year.

And yours are symptomatic of a loser who likes misery. Enjoy it. Do you always respond to posts directed at individuals other than you? That, in itself, is revealing. Good night.

Aggressive. Worrying makes one a loser? I disagree. Its like saying being scared makes one a coward. In fact overcoming fear is what makes someone brave. I have kids and worry about them at times. So loser I am.
