Raiders @ Texans Playoff Thread

I'm outside New England so weather reports for Foxboro look like a snowy Saturday into the evening. Can you imagine if the Pats did not get a bye but had a home game tonight? Likely might have been Snow Bowl 2..... and could still be next week or hopefully the week after...

The scary part is at the end of today either Connor Cook or Osweiler is going to win a playoff game and enter that rarified air of worst QB to win a playoff game, joining David Woodley, Tim Tebow, Rex Grossman.
Granted Cook could turn out to be good but in his first NFL start????

** I didn't put Mark Sanchez on this list because he actually won 4 playoff games and even beat the Pats so he be lousy now but for his first two years, he almost went to a Super Bowl.....

Giants packers will probably be the only good game.

Steelers and seahawks win , may not be blowouts but dont see either game really being in doubt.

Raiders texans will be like 2 90 year old guys fighting on the bus.

For me, the Raiders -Texans game is a must watch. Not that it's going to be an exciting game or anything, but I always like to watch the team that we are probably going to be playing next. I'm curious about Cook as well, want to see how he looks.

Seahawks game will be a bloodbath. Raiders have a shot to win.

i prefere NFC wild cards games then AFC ones this year

NY-GB and DET-SEA looks really really great...

i see W by Oak, Pit, Gb and Det

i love wild card and divisional play-offs week ends a lot

similar as NFL week 1 regular season

Since none of these games intrigue or interest me I'm just going to tell you who I think is going to win.

Raiders vs Texans - The backup bowl
Texans win, they should have won in Mexico against them with Carr but they got jobbed.

Lions vs Seahawks - The yawn bowl
Why is this game on Saturday night? Matthew Stafford is like 2-156 against teams that end with a winning record. Matthew Stafford is a loser. The Seahawks could field one man on defense and the Lions would still lose. They got no chance. Seahawks win! No point in even watching this game. Not sure how NYJFL* thought it was good to make this the late night game.

Edit: Actually, I wanna see how Hester looks with the Seahawks. That's about the only interest for me.

Dolphins vs Squealers - The dirty bowl
Dirty player meets dirty coach. I'd like to see the Squealers lose but if there's one thing I don't like it's a divisional team in the playoffs. So the fishies must lose.

Giants vs Packers - The asteroid bowl
This game is the only toss up, I can see either team winning. I can't stand either QB. Just asteroid the f*ck out of them both. Please!

I see the divisional games being Pats vs Texans, Chiefs vs Squealers, Cowgirls vs Packers/Giants, Falcons vs Seahawks.

I think the Dolphins need a lot to go right if they expect to beat Pittsburgh. So I expect Pittsburgh to win it in the bitter cold.

I think Houston should be able to put away the raiders.
Pittsburgh has won one playoff game in 5 years, and it was a gift from the Bengals after the game should have been over.

I will be cheering for the Raiders (then Steelers tomorrow). I want a rematch with them badly.
A rematch with who?

Been a Lions fan for 60 years and a Pats fan for the last 20.. It'll never happen but my ultimate super bowl would be the Lions vs the Patriots. My favorite would be the Pats but i'd still be okay if the Lions won..
Bobby Layne, Leon Hart, Tobin Rote, Yale Lary..I was a Browns fan that far back because they were the first team, as the best team in football in the 40s and early 50s, to be televised in New England, at least where I was. Browns on TV started about 1953? Guessing. And Jim Brown, still the all time best runner. All pre-Patriots of course. Browns aren't playing this weekend.

3-1 vs. the Giants in the regular season under Rodgers, but the Giants won their lone playoff game during the 2011 season divisional round when the Packers had a 15-1 record on the year.

Giants also won at Lambeau in the NFCCG....you know, the one that got them to The Game That Shall Not Be Named....

Posting again in this thread for convenience:

Texans 21, Raiders 6
Seahawks 24, Lions 14
Steelers 31, Dolphins 20
Giants 23, Packers 20

I don't know how other people here feel but i would be fine with 1 thread per game. I think playoff games are important enough to warrant that and it is something often done when a game is on without any other games on.

Thoughts?

Also

Texans 20 Raiders 10
Lions 23 Seahawks 17
Steelers 30 Dolphins 24
Giants 23 Packers 20

I'm really torn. Because the Packers are perennial media darlings with a QB who gets a pass on manipulating ball pressure past guidelines and their winning streak - which is propelling him into MVP talk - is 1 game less than ours.

On the other hand the Giants are owned by a little rich ***got who tries to use the league rules to weaken teams his can no longer beat on the field.

Oh wait, I'm not torn at all. Fuck the Giants.

Seahawks have not looked good and i don't see all 4 games going as projected without 1 upset. The only reasonable upset is Lions/Seahawks so i think that will happen.

Texans/Raiders and GB/Giants would not be upsets really... both are pretty closely matched teams and Steelers shouldn't lose to Miami but you never know.

W Houston
W Steelers
W Packers
W Seattle

I am taking all the home teams.. I would take the Raiders obviously but I have no idea who or what there 3rd string QB can do. I heard he throws YOLO passes. (You Only Live Once)

Don't forget hiding details about having a wife-beating kicker on the team. Because Park Avenue.

Have you guys been gambling on tonights games? i have 100$ on a Raiders W and 100 $ on over 44 points in the Lions - Seahawks game

These games are going to suck more **** than Jenna Jameson in her prime

They won twice on the way to two games that must not be mentioned. Come on asteroid!
