QB carousel predictions

A few rumours that SF are in the box seat for Stafford and a deal could be done within a week. If that proves true, you have to think Jimmy to NE makes too much sense.

Yes it doesn’t even involved first round picks lol. I just wonder who the lions are targeting at QB. They should blow it up again. I think stafford can be for the 49ers but he has the tendency to make big mistakes in crucial games.

49ers are now the overwhelming favorites to land Stafford per Bovada:

Let Jimmy G watch begin.

another prediction. Although this whole segement seems like "BB can screw this up"

Cousins to San Fran and jimmy to New England!

Rodgers to Dallas makes sense.

The fact most overlooked by the THIRTY-ONE MILLION CAP HIT! crowd is this: The Packers could keep the cap charge at $14.352 million for 2021 by trading Rodgers after June 1.

Here’s where the naysayers would say that the Packers and Rodgers’ new team would never wait that long to do the deal. But why not? If the Packers would choose to carry $37.572 million under Rodgers’ name from March 17 until June 2 in order to ultimately save $23.22 million in 2021 cap space, a June 2 trade becomes extremely viable. And with the ongoing pandemic likely making the on-field offseason program a nullity for a second straight year, why wouldn’t a team that wants Rodgers agree to do a tentative trade in, for example, March but then agree to delay the execution of the deal until June 2?

Either of these guys to Colts? Lol

The Colts are desperate! They are a QB away and there are definitely not on the « Brisset will bring us a championship » bandwagon

Six teams in on Stafford...
3 (CAR, DEN, SF) who draft ahead of NE, 3 (Wash, CHI, IND) who draft behind NE

Bears, Broncos, Panthers offered Lions first-rounder and more for Matthew Stafford, per report - CBSSports.com

We now have some clues how the QB draft may play out.
By my count a minimum of 6 teams in front of NE have need and two (CAR, DEN) just showed their hand with big semi-public plays for Stafford regardless of the residual damage just created by indirectly announcing their lack of faith for their current QBs.
By my count 5 teams drafting behind NE have QB needs now or in the near future with CHI already indicating the extreme price they are willing to pay. Hell.....teams at the end of the round could go mega to get their next linchpin.

Now it can be argued that several of these teams are willing to pay such a steep price for Stafford because they aren't impressed with draft options that may available at their draft slot or they are wary of the cost of moving up....who knows. But based simply by the sheer number of QB needy teams, I expect giant expensive leaps in the draft to get in front of NE, SF, and possibly CAR because there are cards face up now on the table. The draft chip haul slots 2-5 could/will receive via trade will be substantial.

Will Bill pay the quickly steepening price to move ahead of the predators already stalking in the daylight?

No and he shouldn’t
Unless it’s Watson Wilson or Fields he could move up 3 spots for Lance.
I’d rather trade my second for JIMMY g or Mariota

Jameis Winston - Hellz yes
Carson Wentz - Sign me up!
Philip Rivers - You betcha
Tom Brady - We evaluated the idea but felt there were better options

Mariota will probably be cut, or the Raiders would be thrilled to part with him for someone willing to take on his contract. A run of the mill backup QB shouldn’t cost $8M.

One player in the QB carousel that isn't mentioned much is Dak Prescott. Last summer he and his agent turned down a 5-year deal that included $110,000,000 guaranteed, a $54,000,000 signing bonus, and an average of $34,500,000 per year.

It will be interesting to see how much the Cowboys offer him now, with the lower than anticipated 2021 cap. I think the offers that come to him from other teams starting on March 15 will set the tone for all NFL teams in need of a QB. I can't imagine Dallas franchising him a second time; that would come at a price of $37,700,000 for one season, and then he's a free agent again in twelve months.

Would San Fran trade the farm for cousins?

should Washington sign Winston?

exciting couple of months ahead of us.
