Told you guys 10 and 6 or 9 and 7 season. Nobody believed me. Tough schedule. How many winnable games?

I feel now like this is a rebuilding/redefining year now....could obviously be wrong but feel like this is last year for both Belichick and Brady.....and that mcdouche will be the next head coach which may end poorly I would imagine.....so we are heading back to the 80-99 year period where the Pats would hang around but never contend....Pray I’m wrong but feel like we are heading back into the darkness

Very dark. There next to nothing in terms of young talent on this team.

It was an amazing run however.

Losing to the lowly Lions who everyone else had kicked their ***es.....is ridiculous no matter how u try to slice it

How so? I mean, what’s changed from last year that would lead you to believe that Bill Belichick is ruining morale three games into the year? He’s reinstated Guerrero’s privileges, and has given both Brady and Gronk more money. Hell, the guy has twins playing in the secondary. You can’t have twins when you’re destroying team morale, right?

I think he’s made some questionable personnel decisions, when coupled with injuries, are showcasing our weaknesses on both sides of the ball.

Benching Butler. It didn’t start the issues BUT it amplified them all.

Back to back road games are very often upset specials.

Let's see where we're at after week 4 and when Brady has more than 2 WR's to throw the ball to.

entertaining thread....far better than that mess we witnessed today. I'll bow out and let the usual suspects carve up this rotting carcass the next few days but...in my OPINION..this debacle was lost in the FIRST quarter when the offensive game plan was revealed. It seemed to me that Josh called up his buddy, the rocket scientist, and gave him the schematics to the Pats A bombed game plan. Haven't seen such a string of bullshyt play calls since the Tony Eason days. 3 straight 3 and outs to start the game? Way to really pump up the offensive confidence of the players.

How is it different?

If we could assume for a second that BB went against his MO and decided to draft Chubbs 1rst overall, that would be ok because you're getting practically the consensus top overall player in the draft. It's hard to screw that up unless your unlucky like the Browns.

Thank God Tiger won today - the national sports media can blather on about that tomorrow and give less attention to the Pats.

But in my example, he's hurt. He's not helping our defense, and Cooks isn't here to help our offense.

So again, how would that be different than calling the Cooks trade peanuts simply because Wynn got hurt?

So our defense is just as awful as last year and we replaced the 130 receptions from Cooks/Amendola/Lewis with.....nothing.

************, if the defense was still going to be awful they should have at least ensured that the offense remained elite so we can still shoot out any team in the league.

Now our Offense is going to have to rely on a guy who is one bad piss away from being banned way to go BB.

That's different, or then again maybe it's not cause we all know BB would have traded the #1 overall pick for more draft duds.

If BB were somehow to get a top 10 pick in the next year or two, I'm pretty sure he'd try to trade down into the 11–20 range, because the fifth-year option becomes much cheaper.

You're ignoring the obvious here: Edelman and the potential of Gordon. Saying that they've replaced the Cooks/Amendola/Lewis receptions with nothing is a bridge too far. We can argue that the failure to get anything beyond the return of Edelman (his 4 game pop isn't the fault of BB) is major, but we can't blame the team for JE11's failed piss test.

If Edelman can be, say, 85%-90% of JE11, and Gordon can become a productive member of the offense, the passing game should actually be better than last year's, once it clicks in.

I'm not saying that we shouldn't be pissed about the current product on the field. Anyone who's not pissed about it is an idiot, or a fan of another team. But we have to remember some of the reasons why it's currently like it is, both for good and for bad.

In his career, has Burkhead ever put together a streak of 8 consecutive uninjured quarters?

Are we counting the time in practice when he ran into the GOAT and gashed his hand before the AFCCG?

At least Hollister tore it up tonight like you predicted.

Going to pose the question to BB right now hold on...

But were assuming he even drafts that high. We all know he would have traded down. I'm just saying BB's track record for drafting hasn't been that good recently. I remember when the trade went down and people were happy about it and I was telling them it's hard for me to get excited about trading a good player for a pick that is most likely either going to turn out good only to be traded 2 years later or an injury prone bust. Looks like I was right on the latter.

The dynasty ended at around 6:25 PM on 2/4/2018. Bill Belichick killed it when he decided his own vengeful power agenda was more important than giving his team their best chance to win a Super Bowl.

He lost his team that night and will never get them back. Brady and Gronk spent the entire off season telling everyone in a passive-aggressive way that they no longer wanted to play for him. You can be sure most of the other players felt the same way and those who haven’t fled still do.

It showed tonight. No ones heart is really into it. Belichick does not want to be here and his players sure don’t want to play for him.

So I get all this criticism of the defense and the playcalling, but is Brady getting a pass? He played like **** also. No urgency
