I still don't get what the hell we did in 2020. We seemingly had no plan for that season from the get go. Show Brady the door with no backup plan then pick up Cam off the scrap heap which I won't fault Bill for taking a shot on him but I will fault him for staying with him by November when it was clear he couldn't play and we were sitting at 2-5. To me that was the perfect opportunity to rip off the bandaid and start the full rebuild. Bill had the "covid year" excuse with all the opt outs and we could have got a good look at some of the younger guys but instead we re-signed McCourty and spent $13 million on a guard for one year (and cost us a high comp pick). As the season wore on I kept *****ing about not getting to see more playing time for some of the younger guys on the roster. The season was already lost but we still didn't get to see a lot from Uche, Jennings, Joejuan, Stidham and a couple of the other young guys. At that point playing them was a win/win as they would have gained experience and Bill would have been able to find out out if they could play in real game situations. Instead we battled it out with Cam and some other guys who everyone knew wouldn't be on the team in a year to win 7 games.
