I would bet he'll get there but there's no guarantee it will be with NE.2 12-5 seasons and 1 playoff win each year does it. No reason that can’t happen.

The Pats have banked enough good will with me over the last 20 years that I'm not real concerned about their record as much as I was before that.Except in one scenario the Patriots won a Superbowl and in the other they barely were in the playoffs.
If they take a step back from last year then heads are going to roll and rightfully so.
It's easy to swallow missing the playoffs when you've won the Superbowl 10 months before that but missing the playoffs after bailing in the first round the year before is a step backwards and NOT part of the process of what is to be expected.
How it works: one of them gets an idea about something that might be possible and would be newsworthy in their world. The veracity ranges from a single direct source close to team, or just something they make up. They utter it on Twitter or a radio show. To avoid being responsible for stating something that turns out to not be true, they'll often use a cowardly preamble of things like, "I don't know, people are saying" or "That's what's out there, don't know if it is true" or "there are some who say it, I don't know how many" and using "if" to start a statement of fact. Then it becomes an echo chamber, and suddenly its true - lots of people are saying it, and "where there's smoke, there's fire." Soon, someone posts it on Pats fans and it becomes an assumed truth around here.
I thought he did beat Buffalo.
Nope, just sat back and watched all the hype crash and burn.Did you say that last season too?
Facing reality is not giving up.Why the negativity? It's too early to give up on them.
The wind beat buffalo the first time. He threw three passesI thought he did beat Buffalo.
I agree but I'd argue that even 2020 wasn't a down year considering the lack of talent especially on offense.2021 was not a down year either as it's a new era of Patriot football and they are rebuilding.
Personally, I believe a team can only have a down year if an annual solid track-record has been established and the negative result is a significant deviation from normal performance.
For instance, if Alabama goes to the TaxSlayer Bowl then that is a down year.
2002 was not a down year as it was a miracle they won in 2001.
You could argue 2009 was a down year. Maybe.
From a franchise standpoint the only real down year was 2020.
Brady could never beat the Bills with only 3 passes. The wind beat buffalo the first time. He threw three passes
Well not just rebuilding from one player but rebuilding from the end of an all in approach that took them to 8 division champs, 8 trips to afccg, 5 SBs and 3 championships in 8 years.Rebuilding from losing one player? He must have been important.
Correct. It's all a matter of perspective.I agree but I'd argue that even 2020 wasn't a down year considering the lack of talent especially on offense.
He isn’t going anywhere else. Jesus.I would bet he'll get there but there's no guarantee it will be with NE.
And an 8 year run of staying on top.and Gronk
I have been paying attention. Since day one Bill has approached every season as a new beginning and a season in progress.Well not just rebuilding from one player but rebuilding from the end of an all in approach that took them to 8 division champs, 8 trips to afccg, 5 SBs and 3 championships in 8 years.
It left them with players, including Brady departing and no cap space to replace or add. So they buy the bullet in 2020 and with the cap room the y had in 2021 they started the rebuild.
Have you not been paying attention?
Never say never. If Mac isn't the guy I don't think the team or Bill himself will see any sense in a 70+ year BB around here waiting for a new franchise QB. The team cannot ask him not to be GM anymore or they lose the HC as well.He isn’t going anywhere else. Jesus.
I'd listen to RW here SB, BB will leave after he breaks Shula's record.Never say never. If Mac isn't the guy I don't think the team or Bill himself will see any sense in Bill sticking around here waiting for a new franchise QB. The team cannot ask him not to be GM anymore or they lose the HC as well.
I'd say down year relatively speaking. Best team in the league hands down in 2003 and 2004 to not a great team in 2005.Thats not a down year.
They were still a playoff team which made it to the AFC divisionals
As disappointed as I am at the loss of Brady, I'm delighted in the fact that he AND Bill gave us the best two decades of any team in history. They could have a losing record until Bill retires and I'd still feel ahead of the game.Correct. It's all a matter of perspective.
As a franchise, the NEP consistently are in the championship discussion so when the 1st losing season in 20 years occurs is a down year.
Now, if we want to label 2020 is "AB" (After Brady) and any/all expectations should be thrown in the trash I agree 100%
I hope he can do it here in NE!I'd listen to RW here SB, BB will leave after he breaks Shula's record.
