Pats Rebuild Intermittent View of Progress

I still don't get what the hell we did in 2020. We seemingly had no plan for that season from the get go. Show Brady the door with no backup plan then pick up Cam off the scrap heap which I won't fault Bill for taking a shot on him but I will fault him for staying with him by November when it was clear he couldn't play and we were sitting at 2-5. To me that was the perfect opportunity to rip off the bandaid and start the full rebuild. Bill had the "covid year" excuse with all the opt outs and we could have got a good look at some of the younger guys but instead we re-signed McCourty and spent $13 million on a guard for one year (and cost us a high comp pick). As the season wore on I kept *****ing about not getting to see more playing time for some of the younger guys on the roster. The season was already lost but we still didn't get to see a lot from Uche, Jennings, Joejuan, Stidham and a couple of the other young guys. At that point playing them was a win/win as they would have gained experience and Bill would have been able to find out out if they could play in real game situations. Instead we battled it out with Cam and some other guys who everyone knew wouldn't be on the team in a year to win 7 games.

Yep... Bill should've had his GM duties removed immediately after the 2020 season because he placed his own personal glory (and not for the first time during his tenure here) ahead of the well-being of the T-E-A-M; and in my opinion that is a Fireable offense With Cause.

Why not? He needs to win 27 total over 3 seasons, including this one. Certainly doable.
He's clueless, he'll break it with room to spare and that's assuming he's only coaching 3 more years. I've heard that he wants to stay at least 5 more. We'll see though

A lot of back and forth, but everyone seems scared to actually give a final and definitive answer on the matter.

The rebuild is going great, owing to the fact that we've still got the man solely responsible for the dynasty:

To be fair that's because most teams with rookie QB's are not very good. There's a reason why they were drafting high enough to pick one of the top rookie QB's in the draft.
So they weren’t good because they did something only good teams can??????

Who cares about BB record....how about make the team better and focus on that.

There's no such thing as a rebuild. There never has been with Bill. Every season has been a new beginning. What exactly are they rebuilding from anyway? Being last year's #1 seed with a month left?

I expect 25 Patriots first team all pros this season, an MVP for Mac and Coach of the year for Belichick to go with our 20-0 record. Anything less is a massive letdown. What do you think?
