Patriots Rumor Tracker / FA Signings (Updated: Signings in OP - 4/7)

I’m not giving up a 1 in that scenario. Teams do not trade WR’s on rookie deals unless something is very off. Buyer beware.
UGA from what was being discussed on patiots media YouTube from Taylor Keyles.. the new offense and Jacoby Myers factored into this... BTJ showed in 2024 he was that guy.. 2nd and a 4th if I'm Vrabel... and next years 3rd rounder?

Agreed.. Farmer dealt with some injuries last season but he came on as. Rookie and is a sturdy presence in the middle.. I expect him to have a bigger role.. also solid rotational guys in Davis and Gregory.. Farmer is the guy who can do alot of what Tonga did.. now we have a real FB so Tonga wish him well in KC..
Durden was surprisingly solid too. We have good depth at DT.

You don’t want a guy who puts up big numbers when the team stinks and sucks when the team gets good
If he is getting traded because they would rather have Jakobi Meyers that’s a reason to stay away.

Didn’t know that. Interesting. I will say “Jakoby Myers took his job “ is not a phrase that I expected to hear from a 1st rd pick who looked really good his rookie year. I’d prob be fine with 2 and 4 if they had no concerns about character.

Because he got an offer for more than he's worth.
He's a space eater, it's literally the easiest position to replace.
Can find his replacement in the 6th rd of the draft, or a cheaper FA.
The Chiefs do not know how to judge value? Not always easy to replace a space eater. He was excellent and not expensive relative to what he provided. Run stuffer extraordinaire

They literally don't have anyone else.
There's a reason they went 6-11 last year.

Someone asked Vrabel about making deals with free agents and he said that when he goes into a store and see something he wants, he buys it. If they seriously think Pierce has it, I think they'll pay the money.
Bob Kraft still holds the purse strings and he is pretty cheap!!!

Chiefs also signed Walker to a $15M/per contract, so perhaps they don't know how to judge value.
Tonga was a good story, but he was a journeyman who played well in our scheme.
I have no doubt he will be effectively replaced at a lower number.
There wasn't a single poster who was singing his praises when he signed here last year.

I don’t know what’s wrong with you all, I’m still excited about the Pats stealing an awesome fullback from the Bills. Finally gonna be opening some holes up for Stevenson and Henderson. Just need to improve at LG and TE and the run game should start humming.

Ring.. I don't know that it's a reason to stay away I'm leaning towards it's more of Cohen offense and hunter, Myers and the other WR name escapes me.. have all been featured more in the offense... BTJ is a very talented kid and could thrive here..

Get your Free bologna sandwiches here folks!!

It's 2026 and people still want to delude themselves into thinking that free agency is measured in time rather than, you know, players. FA is always top heavy and the top flies off the board fast.

Yes sir.. also the emergence of hunter and Parker Washington.. also BTJ missed a few games with a nagging ankle last season as well.. some said he never really recovered from it.. 2nd and 4th.. Shad Khan should take that deal and run!

They now HAVE to upgrade the line and TE or the fullback won’t matter.

Lorenzo Neal couldn’t open holes behind this line.

Parker Washington.
When a 6th rd JAG is more productive, that's not a good sign.
I'm not saying BTJ can't get back to his rookie form, but zero chance someone is giving a 1st for him.
