Passing Game - Dorsett and Hogan

Isn't this an empirical question. Have the SB winners had dominant passing games or dominant running games.

Or view it the other way, how have the top 5 running teams fared in the post season? How have the top 5 passing teams fared?

I submit that in this age, a team MUST have a really good (dominant) passing game. An adequate running game is required (top 10, and goo short yardage play).

Question is if team shows A. dominant run game in a win, or shows B. dominant passing game in a win.... Which gives fans or analysts more confidence going forward..???

IMO , It should be A. since it is easier to create success passing after solid run game, plus pass happy offense is more taxing on a team and qb... So last week they get a break.

In recent years (2012-2017), on the offensive side of the ball:

Ravens won as much with the run game as with the pass
Seahawks won with the run game
Broncos 2nd SB win was won as much with the run game as with the pass

I think he's posing the question as, "if a team has one game in which it dominates (and wins) with the run, might that not make passing success in following games a bit easier?"

I don't think he's suggesting anything about a team relying on "a dominant run game" for an entire season or the playoffs.

A team is the sum of its parts. A championship team is a team that makes the critical okay at the critical time.
To define a team as running or passing and give causation to it is incorrect.

Gordon left the team Thursday morning. You have to think that screwed their game plan to some degree. Honestly, I was just glad to get another win.
I'm pretty sure they knew it was happening before Thursday.

I never liked the Dorsett deal from the get go.

A diehard Maroney fan on here argued that the guy was actually good. Another bum tip.

I watch a guy like Doug Baldwin last night and ask myself how in the world do the Pats miss on guys like him.

Ugh I know I completely agree.
Baldwin is special
I'd take Baldwin over most receivers.
I bet Devante Parker is a Pat next year.
We supposedly liked him in the draft and it's a position of need.
He shouldn't break the bank becuase he's never played to his potential.

Maroney was good as a rookie, especially before he got hurt. After that, he was the team's best RB in 2007, and still a promising runner. He suffered an injury early in 2008, was never quite the same after that, though he still showed some flashes in 2009, and was out of the league in a couple more years. In the meantime, you completely misread this past game with the Bills:

Pats (theoretically) still have a shot at the #1 overall seed

But I'm sure it was vital that you bring up a completely irrelevant player in this thread, so thanks!

Say we host a game against the dolts or the vultures. We need to find a way to move the ball when they play tight man to man coverage on the outside and double gronk.

If Bill wouldn't pay Cooks, why would they pay $15m/yr for Parker?

Forget cooks we miss amendola. Hogan can’t get open and dola was always able to make the catches in crunch time. We simply do not have that this year.
Ok but I was talking about paying Adams $15m

...and paying Dola what MIA did would have been galactically stupid.

The Chiefs are NOT losing to the Raiders.

Oakland is not going to foul up ending 3 - 12 with a shot at the # 1 pick. If you want to wager KC loses put your money up.

Brady misses Almendola terrible.

Nobody won on that deal.

In the past 10 years have we won in arrowhead stadium?

..or on guys like Tyler Lockett...but who needs guys like him when we can have Jordan Richards?
