Pagano: "Andrew Luck is the best QB in the NFL"

What do you expect him to say about his own QB? Brady is better? Of course he's going to say that Luck is the best.

TY Hilton had the most yards in the NFL this year, the Colts offense was quite good ranking 8th at 25.7ppg.

Why doesn't Chuckles Pagano concentrate on fixing his horrific defense that's been bottom 5 in the league for the last 3 years instead of trying to make headlines.

You're a big part of the reason you stink Chuckles!

That's hard to do with Grigson drafting. I don't think Grigson has drafted a single good defensive player.

Luck is 27 and while still fairly young, it's not like he is still a really young, developing QB, and I think we've seen much of his upside.

I disagree with this small part. I think QBs develop much more slowly and sometimes into their 30s because the position is so mental. We obviously can't use Brady as an example because he's such a ridiculous outlier, but guys like Rodgers and Ryan, maybe even Stafford, have played some of their best football at or past 27.

Luck is Brett Favre Lite. Too much of a gunslinger. Far too likely to throw an ill timed pick or make a costly mistake far too often.

i wish chuck 10 more years with the dolts

Luck has no offensive line and outplayed Russell this year.

Did he really? Luck got a lot of yards and TDs this season in garbage time when the Colts were down by a lot. Just last weekend, they got 15 points on offense in garbage time against Detriot. They got 17 points in garbage time against the Raiders earlier in the year. Against Jacksonville, they were losing 23-6 going into the fourth and lost 30-27 after scoring 21 points in the fourth (although they did get within 3 points at the end).

Grigson and Pagano are a gift from the coke fiend

This isn't a ludicrous statement. That's his QB and he's going to say that. Luck does more with less than any QB in the league. No he isn't the best QB. But his coach won't say otherwise.

The guy has nothing around him and puts up big numbers. The roster is in the bottom 3rd in the league and they go 8-8. 31 TD and 13 INT this year, that's not bad. He's obviously not the best in the league but I think his talent is undeniable

Look how average Wilson has looked with poor offensive talent around him

The problems with the team are on defense. He has plenty of talent on offense. Hilton, Gore, Doyle, Allen, Moncrief, Dorsett. All pretty explosive and Doyle is reliable. Brady would make mincemeat of defenses with that talent.

The Colts offensive line is a steaming pile of ****. Brady's a better QB than Luck but, give him the Colts' play calling and down field looking approach to passing, and Tom would be running for his life behind that 5 headed sieve.

I like Luck, he is a good player and never complains, however he doesn't have that it factor like Brady, Manning, Rodgers when it comes down to leadership, he just doesn't have that trait.

Now, it's not all his fault, he has **** for an Oline, an aging running back, a horrible defense, a coach that doesn't coach well, and a GM and Owner that don't have a clue what they are doing!

Is there a finalist banner for this somewhere?

Good grief, Charlie Brown.

Well then in his own words he's a ****ing terrible coach. Because if you have the best QB in the league and you can't finish .500 in the NFL's worst division, you must be terrible.

Pagano really dug himself a hole there.

Yep.

Hopefully he can expand upon this at their 2nd place in the AFC South Ring Ceremony at Irsay's crack den in Indianapolis Super Bowl Sunday.

...And their leader in INTs this year was Darius Butler.

It is absolutely ludicrous.

He could also say, "Andrew is one of the top QBs in the game and there is no one else I'd rather have."

By saying he is the best in the game embarrassed himself because everyone knows he isn't.

With that said, there might be some politics going on in Indy as Pagano knows who butters his bread.
