Pagano: "Andrew Luck is the best QB in the NFL"

You can win with that roster. Is is a great roster? Hell no.

Pick any 3 or 4 of the games I called out. They should have won 2 maybe 3.

I think OAK was very beatable with Carr and the banged up pinkie. Luck threw 2 picks vs a bad D.

They should have beaten JAX and they should have beaten one of the HOU games.

That gets them to 10-6.

I don't know what we are debating about?

8th in scoring offense, and 22nd in scoring defense. But it's lucks fault they are 8-8 right?

Luck is a tremendous QB, but his offensive line is slowly ruining him, and his defense puts him in the position of having to force the issue in order to keep pace.

Frankly, if the Mr. "Born with a silver coke spoon in his mouth" has a lucid moment, he'll offer whatever it takes to get Caserio as his GM and McDaniels as his head coach, and then just hand those guys the blank checks.

The Colts would probably become an 11-13 win team in year one of their tenure.

No...but if you think Luck is the best QB in the NFL you got shamrocks for brains...

TY Hilton had the most yards in the NFL this year, the Colts offense was quite good ranking 8th at 25.7ppg.

Why doesn't Chuckles Pagano concentrate on fixing his horrific defense that's been bottom 5 in the league for the last 3 years instead of trying to make headlines.

You're a big part of the reason you stink Chuckles!

That statement implies he is not culpable for the 7 losses of the games he started.

For example, vs SEA the D sucked but Brady played very average and 3 bad passes and a fumbled snap cost them the game. Its on him too.

He shares the blame in the loss just like Luck should.

No that's their GMS fault. Take a look at his draft history. The guy is inept. That lack of talent there is not paganis fault

You'd want Luck at the end of a playoff game driving your team instead of Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Ben Rothlisberger or Ecry? Been waiting for this bigtime QB to emerge to back up all this blabberation...so far he's been good...NOT great.

He threw for 31 touchdowns and 13 INTs. On a team with a bad defense and a bad offensive line. And average weapons at best. And went 8-7. Houston is a 12 or 13 or 14 win team with this kid easily

Indy has gone from Suck for Luck to Suck is Luck in pretty short order. I think he has an awfully low completion % for a top 5 QB. I like a lot of QBs more.

They regularly lose games due to coaching decisions, how many times a season do you see the Colts run on first and second down gain 2 yards, don't convert 3rd down and keep trying to force the run that doesn't work only to put the ball in Lucks hands late to try and comeback.

You're talking about a coach who 2 weeks ago in Oakland in a 0-0 game early in FG range after a nice drive on 4th and short brought on his field goal unit and tried to run McAfee for a first down, either kick the FG or let Luck throw.

Chuck Pagano is as much of the problem as Grigson, he's horrible and done nothing to prove he's a good coach, the Colts often start games horribly the opening gameplan almost never works and they look best 90% of the time in the 4th Q when they abandon the gameplan and just sling it.

BTW, Piguano lips move but those are drug addict Irsay's words coming out of his mouth...Piguano is nothing more than a puppet

Luck's a second tier QB. Coaches with second tier QBs are going to say the same thing that coaches with first tier QBs say, which is some derivation of "My QB is the best in the league", or "Other than Brady...".

Andrew Luck was the 3rd best QB in the AFC this year behind Brady and Carr, he was better than Big Ben.

Big Ben has been overrated this year, he's been brutal on the road most of the year despite having Brown and Bell.

A lot of people just look at team W/L record and judge QB performance.

For most of Lucks career he's been overrated and wasn't playing well as his record suggested this year it's the opposite, he's playing well now and is actually being underrated.

I used to give pagano a break until this year. You are correct, but my point was about there defensive talent

If Luck-Colts was a marriage, Luck would sue for non-support.

They should renegotiate Luck's contract and give him a raise. Those once in a generation players need to be locked up long term,

Yep. The sky's the limit. They need to keep that Irsay-Gagson-Pagano-Luck train rolling along. Next year could be another banner year for Indy.

Of course he would say that. A coach of any top 15 QB would say that...part of the job.
I agreed with this but at the same time I feel like Bill wouldn't. He would say the QB they are facing this week is the best (or one of the best) in the NFL. Although I know he has said there's no QB he'd rather have.

Says it all, right there. Whether or not he thinks Tom is the GOAT, he's pimping his ride, just like pretty much every other coach.

They pretty much have to. "My guy doesn't completely suck, so we've got a shot" isn't going to help the locker room. It's refreshing to hear a Rex Ryan type saying "They've got the better QB and better coach, but...", but there's a reason that's not the approach most coaches take.

I'm not entirely sure Luck is even in the top 5.

Of course it is a another banner year; continuity banner here they come!
